AnonymousJudging from his last post that said “sightseeing on the way home” I’ll let you draw your own conclusions
May 26, 2009 at 5:42 am #136508Can we please go back to the way we used to put a story with at least 5 to 10 pictures per post (unless you don’t have more than one, we have decided here at Admin that it has worked so well for so long now. The single picture per post will add pages and pages that aren’t necessary
Champo I have been told your reasons for doing it and that someone tried to change your mind, if the punters want an individual picture they have before and will again get the picture they want. If there is any problem with this please PM me and not discuss it here in this thread
Thank you for your cooperation

May 26, 2009 at 6:38 am #136053:woohoo: Moto it’s Superunit here and yes TB did it, new logon, mate i still think your wheelstand was the best I have seen for a while, a “a step to the left” THEN “a step to the right” then off into the un-known fog, Menace & I where quite impressed. Totally had a great time, and nice to meet you all, see you again soon. Crash you are a weapon walking into that icey water.
May 26, 2009 at 7:13 am #136512Speaking of ‘weapon’, lucky I had a bit of string and a stick tied on! Like a frightened tortoise retreating into its shell!

You are a funny bloke (Mick G too) and it was fun having beers with you.
Thanks for the wheelstand comments, shame TB self proclaimed his as the best when he didn’t even see mine. I knew he was a mole anyway though
Look forward to the next ride with you
May 26, 2009 at 8:49 am #136520I said yours was good Moto  Just mine was better, Gotycha said mine was the best of the weekend

Somewhere in Hapton Forest
In the cave
May 26, 2009 at 9:37 am #136536Why is menace always blurry, are we looking though Moto’s Sunday morning eyes
May 26, 2009 at 9:45 am #136544I reckon the 2nd hill was harder than the first on Sunday, yet as always in a picture doesnt look like much does it
TB
May 26, 2009 at 9:53 am #136543Moto is actually asleep here.
and then Champo wakes him up.
Riders start your engines for a race back to where TB stops.
And the I wanna prize for fastest through a puddle goes to DrD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVeMd2JOcigMotos rear sprocket bolts came loose.
Uploading last two vids to youtube.
May 26, 2009 at 10:01 am #136550Not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. It was great to get out in the ‘back of beyond’, seeing some great country in a different light – water water everywhere, the mist, the fog, the wildlife – just brilliant. I had a ball.
The roll call was 100%. Nobody even considered ringing to see if it was still going ahead – we all just wanted it to and knew it would – unspoken enthusiasm.
Good experience to ride in such conditions! Watching the terrain change colour and consistency, learning which type is ‘slipperyist’ (if that’s a word), where you can brake hardest, how to twist on throttle ever so gently etc, etc. Top stuff.Shorts:
*Thanks Ghostrider for arranging the secure starting spot. (No thanks for keeping the Superman seat grab into the creek (without the seat grab bit) to yourself and a small number of witnesses.
*Great to meet and be face to face with people I’ve only met ‘literature-ally’ (Poor attempt at a English joke that probably doesn’t make sense). Mal5.1, MickG, Superunit, Menace, LC4 & Gotcha – genuine fellas. And good to see the old crew too.
*The poor Wallaby on the road to Wombeyan Caves. He obviously went left instead of right at that rock high up above….that first step was a beauty! Rip buddy.
*The fox that joined TB and me up front. He stayed on the track in front of TB for over half a kilometer. Wouldn’t have believed it if it hadn’t have happened in front of me. (yes, he was in Fox gear!)
*The COLD COLD COLD COLD COLD Creek at Dingo Dell.
*The torrent that was Komung River. Like I said, I would have taken a Dakar race Truck through there!
*The 60km dash to get Chop at Kanangra Walls. (Tear in my eye as I passed the ‘not to be ridden Poo Track’ ……twice!!!) – we’ll get there one day……..then you’ll see why it’s called what we call it!
*See TB actually separate from his bike unintensionally. Some might call it a droooo……..droooooo……….drooooo….drop!!
*Living out the scene from ‘Armageddon’ – you know when the meteorite is exposed to the sun and rocks just start bombarding the space ship…….that’s what riding behind TB all weekend was like…….ask my 3rd shattered headlight, the cut bridge of my nose from rock contact with my goggles that punched the lense from the frame and the numerous bruises!!!! – worth every bit of it to see the big unit in action.
*My brain explosion………drowning Mal5.1 when he parked next to a large puddle on the Sunday return. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. A big SORRY Mal.
*Moto on Saturday night………what can I say….ah to be 30 again. My body doesn’t repair itself like it use to…be it self inflicted or accidental injury. I don’t know how you do it brother.
*MickG and Motos’ pool sharking on Saturday night. (Motos introduction to ‘Aussie rules’ Remember Moto, your half Aussie now!
*Dr D’s all or nothing 40km/ph attempt to cross the creek at Dingo Dell. Lesson 1: KTM300’s with their big open Air boxes are made for racing NOT deep creek crossings!!!
*In the Dictionary, next to the word ENTHUSIASM, you’ll see a picture of Menace….What a supreme effort. It makes the rest of us feel pretty unique that you thought we were worth dedicating 3 or so days of your life away from Sammy, just to ride with us…..A grade commitment OB brother.
*Winding out the big girls (fiddys not Tracy/Kylie)……….yeehaa!
*Helping out fellow bike enthusiasts in distress.
*The quiet beer back in town on the way home
*Kylie & Tracys’ never say die performances on the Yamys.
*Chops solo effort to keep us fuelled & supplied. Invaluable.
Thanks Champ*Sliding ‘round the ‘wiggly’ road on the run home in pursuit of TB.
*Team OB singing the 43 year old happy birthday on Saturday night.
