Maybe they spiked it with Rohypnol. Being a KTM rider you wouldn’t know if you were date raped or not.Your bum would have been sore either way.

    Classic Mick:laugh:

And probably very true. i’ve ridden a few KTMs and read a bit about Rohypnol.

To evryone thanks for a great weekend, TB,crash for showing us the way, chop for the support, boulder for allways being there at the back to lend a hand.

I was talking to a friend of mine who went ouy riding last sunday with a few mates, he has only recently bought a bike and keen to ride. within 10 mins of their ride he was left behind not knowing which way to go at a fork in the road! He knew the area a little and rode around for a while before going home without seeing anyone else.

I just thought i’d share that story as it never would happen on a OB ride, and it is a comfort for riders like me who aren’t up the front to know that no one is concearned about the speed you ride, there is help either advice or muscle whenever needed, or whatever the obsticle, and boulder is always there! making sure you are not left behind.

Thanks again for the Dirty/Wet weekend look forward to many more!!!

    part 2

    sunday:
i woke up sunday feeling great. i tryed really hard to get drunk saturday night and i dont think i even got to the slurring stage!!
the first thing i asked was “wheres moto”, as he refused to go to bed and was wandering aimlessly the last time i saw him. he was there though, must have snuck in later when he got cold. i was happy to see him in one piece and very hungover…silly bloody pom!!
i wasnt really looking forward to donning my still semi wet riding gear, but the thought of doing the single trail again was still making me smile.

up to breaky and some bacon eggs and snags for nourishment. moto wouldnt move to get food and he definately missed out. it was yummo.
eagle flew past me squorking about plastic bags in his boots and i begged the girls at the pub for some. top work ladies!! for such an evil man, eagle is full of good ideas:P they worked a treat mate, cheers.
we all got ready and rode out the front for a couple of pictures with the OBT banner.

then it was off back onto the ST. i was trying to be a bit more conservative as we had 150kms to ride and i didnt want to get wet or hurt. the first slimy hill was fun to watch everyone climb. me and LC4 took an alternate route, and i dont think anyone noticed:P . the second one had me peddling the ground on the way up:P . a couple of tracks in and my inner warmth was soon ended by moto, who was deliberately waiting for me and trapped me in a tight section. (mole). he stopped in a mud puddle and i had nowhere to go. more roostered than the proverbial chicken i was. big chunky chunks of mud……ba$tard was my initial reaction:laugh:  the cheeky bugger even had a look back at me to see his handy work. i guess i got my just deserves:laugh:  last time i save your “boy band” good looks from a local pal:laugh:  it wasnt raining and i was getting hot in my jacket and i didnt wanna start sweating, so i half unzipped it….bad move…..
i was cruising for a bit trying to get some blood back on my fingers when i heard moto behind me again. i heard him open the 450 up and before i could react i saw a big puddle running along next to me which moto had hit at speed while overtaking me. holy sh!t, a wall of water hit me. it was like a scene from “a perfect storm”. chris captured the moment on video and even says “got him good” on the footage.  it drowned me and went right down my unzipped jacket. i must admit it pi$$ed me right off at the time and wanted to strangle him.:woohoo: great, i thought, 150kms to go and my chest is wet and i could already feel the cold. in hindsight, it was a laugh. he couldnt have done it better if he tried.   and it wasnt as cold as saturday so it dryed up soon enough. you are still the ultimate mole though moto…and always will be:laugh:  :P ;)
tiny did tell me that i got you back a beauty…which i didnt realise. it gave me some comfort knowing though.
we cruised into the caves for a picture, then off to the open roads.
doin the ST first thing was grouse. it got me in the zone early and i turned the wick up on the 300 for the rest of the day. i was flying on the dirt roads and when it was my turn for cornerman duties, i was ready for a rest.
i must say i like the 2 man corner system. i got to chat to different people nearly every stop. cool.
gotchya and myself dicided to swap bikes for a while on a very slimy track. all i can say about his Berg 570 is…OMFG!!!
what a throbbing weapon. i had a ball on it and managed to show moto what its roostability was like a couple of times:laugh:   it was just like my 300 to ride, only chunky!!! thanks gotchya for the ride, unforgettable
i like bergs and sammy says she will buy me one…..one day!!
we all grouped and disscussed options re fuel. it was decided to head back down the long slimy hill of a track.
the fun i had going back down was awesome. mal5.1, superunit and i, all had the idea that a race was in order. it was on like donkeykong. what a blast. swapping and changing, all of us taking different lines….full friggin noise:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: it was the highlight of sunday for me. when we stopped, we were all grinning from ear to ear. then tiny said he was right behind us all the way dodging roost.

there was a massive puddle, that resembled a lake, that TB challenged anyone to hit in 3rd cog, a $100 voucher was up for grabs…before he had finished talking, DrD had started his bike and was riding through it to feel it out. he took off up the road and everyone scrambled for camera shots. he didnt hit it in 3rd, but was up the top of 2nd and hit it, making a bow wave that was a good 15 feet high. he pulled it off and was a worthy winner. his 300 is now known as the collins class kato!!!

a little while later we came across a couple of fat beemers on a greasy track. one was down and so was its rider. poor bugger. he had a busted leg. and was in agony:( . crash donned his best nurses uniform and was rendering assistance straight away. there were a few bloody beemer comments and a bit of sh!t hanging. we were trying to keep his spirits up!!
he was looking rather pale indeed. i was worried he might go into shock. someone whipped out a space blanket and KylieD dealt out a few panadiene fortes. we got a gps lock on them and headed for the wombeyan caves to get an ambo out there. (at full throttle of course).
wombeyan caves is a beautiful spot and we all pigged out on pies and stuff while crash spoke to the rangers about our fallen comrade.

the spirit was flowing through the whole ordeal. it made me feel proud to be a bull.;)
aiden, the fella with the busted leg, has now joined OBT. good luck with your recovery mate…you owe us all a beer mate:laugh:

we took off once more to meet up with the sweet smelling chopper, for a quick splash and dash. the last track, i think its the wombeyan caves road, was much better to ride on than it was on the way in on saturday. it had dryed up well.
the superunit was doin some sick standup driftys around nearly every corner. he was throwing roost spray off the side of the road and into the abyss. if he knew how close he was getting to the cliffs he would have sh!t himself:laugh:

mickG, aka fishbone, copped a rock in the eyebrow which nearly knocked him out. he was lucky to get away with only a shiner!!
we hammered back to the cars to end what was definately one of the best weekends of my life…seriously!;)

Dang, missed another good one… and my WR is sitting in the shed sulking with dirty oil, dirty air filters and a flat rear tyre after DBW9! Have to get my backside into gear and sort the lil’ girl out though, because I think we will do the Harvey Ranges on the long weekend! Oh yeah! I’m spewing to have missed this ride, but the brownie point piggy bank was raided for DBW9. Another time! :)

You’ll have to wait for the limited edition OB DVD to be released!! I have about 2gb of it which I am still splicing up into useable chunks. I’ll hopefully upload some more tonight.

    Cheers
