Uk company CCM are soon going to realise an adventure capable 450 , lightweight compared to the big adv bike at only 130kg and with 8000km service intervals and an 18 litre tank it looks like a good thing B)

Been watching this for a while Jacko, it’s an interesting thing with the discontinued BMW engine detuned to 40hp from 50 odd detuned to increase the service intervals and make it last. Electronic rear suspension 130 kgs dry

A review of the prototype by MCN magazine with Llewellyn Pavey, Simon Pavey’s (Dakar) son so at least he is half Australian

They sell a heap of extras including and engine update kit, only thing at the moment is talk that they could be worth $17k Aus   but I reckon it’s to early to say. Still with the dollar dropping.
There is a good thread on this in the adv rider

Cerainly something a bit different. By all reports the motor out of the BMW450 was the best thing about it and there plenty of Husky riders that sing its praises..

This is a segment of the market yet to be exploited I think if a manufacturer gets it right they will be on a winner.

Since Yamaha introduced the WR250R people have be asking for a 450 version.
