Tryhard and myself need to test some gear for the 3 State ride so we are doing a self-sufficient overnighter, leaving after work, on Friday 25th March and camping somewhere in the Central Coast forrests.
The plan is to meet at the back of Wyong at 4.30pm. Provide your own meals, drinks and accommodation.
That leaves the rest of the weekend for messing around with the bike and gear for the 3 States ride the next weekend. Happy days.
Taking the DR650.

I will meet you there, wherever, when I see what time I can scram from work.
Here are some suggestions of camps* MacLean’s Lookout near Hunter lookout at North end of Watagans
* The end of Rope Rd (don’t take the turn down to the gate)
* Somewhere along the Yengo run
* Mogo? I think near the start of the run down to St Albans
* On the flats going down to st Albans, not sure if you are allowed to camp there
* & in Joes back yard,( after we ride round the block a couple of times)http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/nationalparks/parkCamping.aspx?id=N0068
March 17, 2011 at 1:40 pm #198108Can the camping spot that is chosen be posted up when decided as I may turn up later in the night somethings permitting please

Be good to have you along TB. Mogo off the St Albans rd at the nothern end is looking good. Travellers from St Albans pub and Kulnura general store. It wouldn’t be much of a push for the Sydney crowd at this location…..Crusty, owl2, katgirl and all the others.
The thing I like about Friday night rides is that I can get my riding fix and still have the rest of the weekend to do stuff, or ride some more.
How did that recy go Mickp?
Check the first post for updates.

I got a phone call from him when I was at the kids football, he had a drama  he now has a church radiator, it’s holly
The thermo fan has rubbed thru a couple of tubes he was saying, think he mumbled bloody orange shitboxes  ( that may not be technically correct but it’s my story  )
Thanks for the update Lotsa I reckon I will be there

I’m looking on the bright side
I am just glad I found it today and not in 2 weeks time, much easier to repair here than on the side of the track.Mick
March 19, 2011 at 9:03 pm #198311Went for a recy today to the Mogo camp site. Good day to test out new fork seals, wet weather gear and 30lt tank.
View from the cover of the servo. It was flogging down.
Red Hill Rd in Ourimbah SF
Jerry’s Kitchen Kulnura. The only bike there. Had a nice latte and cheese cake
Mogo camp site turnoff on the St Albans Rd. I put pink ribbons on the sign for Tryhard;)
Trials cement pipe in the foreground for those who want a crack at putting an adventure bike over it and dunnies in the background if it all goes wrong
John Williamson was singing Rip Rip Wood Chip next to the fire until I brought my camera out and he hid in his tent. Shy bloke.
Looks like a good spot. PM me if you can’t find it.

Depending on time we might ride down to St Albans for a drink and then back up. Let me know when you are coming through on the day.
Yep, vote Saturday. Every election I put in a postal vote beacuase I am always not near a poling station. (ie riding) So I’ve done my voting.
Saturday will just be riding home or you could show us some tracks down to Mooni Mooni Bridge;) . I have to be at Warnervale at 1pm.
