My DRZ 400E will be due for a replacement drive chain following the louee ride. I am unsure of which type I should purchase and I was wondering if someone could assist with information on which would be a descent brand and type to use as a replacement.
    Thank You. :)

    Regards
    Boony

O-Ring should be fine mate. They all do similar jobs and despite claims to the contrary I don’t think any particular type lasts longer than another. A lot of that is rider and bike dependent anyway. Just my two cents.

For your yellow bike I recommend one of these chains

It had to happen didn’t it. There is Boony asking a bike related question very politely and the second reply is a sledge.

You really don’t deserve it mate. I am sure you will be happy with whatever pearl necklace you decide to get for the Banana

the last 2 responses and the one from ecks are extremely appreciated and the respondents are odviously very intelligent people, all the others need to have a serious look at your responces as they did not help me at all because a daisey chain would simply break, and you call yourselves dirtbike rider,,sheez , oh there seemed to be some form of an attempt at humour (I think).ha ha There is no need for that gentlemen now is there..

you won’t believe how long that daisy chain took to make…….some people are hard to please.

On a serious note, I usually use the 520 “O” ring chain the bike shop happens to have in stock at the time.

i do appreciate the time taken to construct that very lovey daisy chain( slow news day in the hope today?) and what a beautiful daisy chain it is.Now I am not sure if you are being serious or just unleashing your humour on me again,, I will look into the 520 chain Michael.

You do that Boony. And yes TB is right,I probably would go for the cheaper option if there was two chains to choose from. Not everyone can afford to use the best of everything. Me included, I do my best with the available funds.

What is it with you Mick   I was just stirring like you and the daisy chain, which was funny and well done on Boony I gota say :P

We all have expenses, and we all struggle trust me, when I was a single man it was the best of everything 2x over

Now I save, buy the best and aim for a good run, cheaper never works out in the end I feel beside you know what I mean :)

These guys do a great deal and if you call them up you can probably get the hardened front sprocket upgrade thrown in. standard rear sprocket is fine unless you’re fast enough to feel the difference in weight Im told.
