Is it possible to replace the chain slider on a 2002 xr250 without removing the swingarm?
If so, what is the procedure?

Not sure about the XR but with my bike I used to take the front sprocket off and you could get the slider in from there.

Most sliders should be a U shape and not need the swingarm off to install them.

    Hope this helps.

From memory many years ago you have to pull the swingarm off, if its a genuine one.

Yeah, thats what the service manual says. I’ll try it Mals way first – see how it goes.
    Thanks fellas.

Yep, you can get a slider in and out with a bit of manipulation.
Need sprocket cover off, no need to remove sprocket (mines only 12t).

    Excellent! :woohoo:

That’s better than dimantling half the bike.
