Torpedo7 has tyres going cheap again
Just got my self 2 110/100 soft terrain Pirelli Scorpions for $85 each, bring on the loam and slop of Bello and Coffs!
July 3, 2012 at 1:20 am #225442I think you will find they are not that cheap on pirellis anymore. They are bringing in tyres ex a foreign distributor of pirelli via nz.
If any old bulls want Pirelli tyres just email parts@rockmotorcycles.com.au with either your size, bike and quantity required and we should go very close to matching their price. You can even just email us a screen dump (ctrl “print screen” then ctrl v in your email)of your torpedo 7 shopping cart and we will see what we can do.
We buy large quantities of Pirelli from link international who are Australia official distributor. There tyres come direct from Pirelli ie fresh rubber(this is important on pirellis), they are and always have been a massive sponsor of racers and race series in oz, they are been very aggressive with their prices and are not way dearer than usa. we support your site with sponsorship to try to get a few extra sales that I otherwise wouldn’t get so I’m happy to do as good a price as we can.July 3, 2012 at 2:15 am #225452how much for a set of mx51dunlops 110 100 back and 80 100 front rockdog with freight to dubbo
July 3, 2012 at 10:44 am #225443Unfortunately I don’t stock dunlops, I can get em but I’m not going to be competitive on price as I don’t do enough volume with them.
Have you tested a set of pirellis? At least when you buy Pirelli you are getting what the factory teams use, not some one off factory tyre that you can’t buy, which is what Dunlop, Michelin etc all do!July 3, 2012 at 11:04 am #225453rockdog wrote:I think you will find they are not that cheap on pirellis anymore. Always give the site sponsors an opportunity to compare prices as it is the support and generosity of all these great dealers and suppliers that help to keep this site alive.

July 3, 2012 at 11:27 am #225464Yeah, Rocks are looking after me with Pirellis for the Pig. I am happy with the price I am getting them for and am happy to have my dollars stay local.

I currently are using Pirelli’s, however for mine I reckon the MX51’s are better. I would like to try the MX31’s though. I also really like the Michelin S12; however they are quite soft in the side wall and when running low pressures, even with Michelin UHD tubes they are prone to pinch flats.
Just my opinion.Oops! I should have read the entire thread first.
Don’t forget to support site sponsors. So you had better go to Sutto’s or Rock for your rubber eh! :whistle:Cheers,
