    It will pay you to regularly check that all bolts and screws on the bike as tight and secure. Use loctite if you have too.

    In particular, rear sprocket bolts should be tight before doing a few hot laps around the Appin MX track, otherwise……….

    FYI, it wasn’t my bike. My ex riding buddy was showing me how to take the big tabletops when this happened.

    I ahd my sprocket bolts come loose at the four day, it didnt do any damage as I caught becuase of the fretting around the bolt heads, but for the next 2 dyas it was in the back of my mind had it done any damage :(

    Wouldn’t that be just dandy out on the trails in the back of never never!!!

    Funny you mention that Mick I have a couple of sprocket bolts, nuts and washers in my bum bag, and always look at peoples (and mine)sprockets when stop because you will see witness marks of fretting dust etc before failure. B)

    YEs we would mick, imagine that happening 100k’s in the middle of nowhere, that would be one long push home.
