But being Scottish, you only used half the recommended amount of glue!!! LOL
BTW back on topic, this dribble isn’t getting Chris’ chain any cleaner. So how does every one else keep their chains clean.

Yeah thanks Trailboss, will catch up yellow mountain and it certainly wont be me coming in first as im not the fastest bloke on two wheels but will give it a go anyway. Going to get tyres tomorrow and running the heavy duty tube not ultra heavy ( they must be thick as elephant skin) I wonder has Chris got any stickers left .
Anyway thanks again.
Mac
I mailed the stickers out mate as chris was slack!, send me an e mail to trailboss@obtrailriders.com with your address and I will get them to you, youre coming to Capertee on the saturday arent you, can give you some then?
Forget the big talk, yellow mountain is just a trail ride and to finish first, first you have to finish champ.
They 4mm thick and they are and the best tubes around, mousse tubes are the best see tech article but they are very dear.
Speak to Fathead at Battyes bout the tubes he will post them and do it cheap! If you want try themJuly 7, 2008 at 9:07 pm #105227Hey Duncan just so happen to have an old folklift and its not as if the extra would matter. Could get the grinder out and wack a few Knobies in them. As for the chain do what mick says then hit it with the gerne then lube up its to easy.
(Duncan would believe i got a rear puncture on the R1 the other day) I’m still shitten off the chinamen.)

July 7, 2008 at 9:13 pm #105231Cleaning my chain, wash the bike, WD40 the chain and leave it till the next ride and lube it with genuine honda lube (free)
July 7, 2008 at 9:18 pm #105232yeah I like the idea of the mouse tube, but to the chain cleaning,,in the olden days we used to take the chain off and clean it with petrol and then when clean put into an old pot with a special grease stuff and then put it on the stove and heat it up and the grease would melt down and lube up the chain,, WTF the house would stink to high heaven,(no wonder I,ve been divorced so many times haha) nowadays I just spray the chain with degreaser, spray it off after a few mins with the gurney and then lube it up with new chain lube,, too easy
July 7, 2008 at 9:23 pm #105242You are old zippo, I remember the chain lube bake ha ha how funny is that PS I am old
Mum would make me light a fire and heat it on that, funny as !

July 9, 2008 at 12:21 am #105246Wow 2 pages, and 95% of it completely irrelavant, I love it, I think I’ll just leave the chain and try Micks Method, as for being ‘SLACK’ more like too busy earning a living, working 16 hour days end of financial year = busiest!!! I could go on and on..
Chris.
July 9, 2008 at 8:59 am #105206Hi Chris,, just joking with the chain story,, we always do a good job with the chain lube,, so much so that the overspray flicks up onto the plastics and your cothes when riding,,all part of the fun hey
July 21, 2008 at 10:55 am #105207i just use a brush and a can of chain cleaner, give it a scrub then spray with chain lube once the cleaner has dried.. havent heard of a better way yet, although i will try the riding with it dry method lol
