You got some brilliant shots there Murph!
The ones where riders are manualing through the rock steps at the top of the Widowmaker are brilliant. :woohoo:

What a fantastic weekend with some great mates.

The riding was first class after the rain and the trails couldn’t have been better.

I was really nervous going into this ride as the loop I had to remember has so many intersections and I have spent the past week running through it in my head at 3am most mornings hoping I wouldn’t get 20 old bulls lost :D

My main concern was that ‘Trapeze ‘ , being a tight techy single , may have a log down on the day and with no other way to Glenreagh we’d be stuffed. Well that happened and when I saw the debris my heart sank , I’d just done the majority of the trail using my head and bike as a battering ram and thought we’d made it but that one tree down had taken a heap of vines and jungle with it. Thanks to Boony , Jeffro and Fordy we cut our way around the obsticle and made it to the pub B)

The morning group were a great bunch of old bulls who held a really good pace and smashed every trail with grins at the end, thanks for a top ride guys.

After lunch the nerves started to return and with good reason , I was a hunted man , with nearly 20 frothing fast and racing riders on my tail I stretched them as far as I could through the forest to give me some breathing space , which only amounted to a few minutes after going hard for over 1/2 hour blasts. I had a ball guys thanks.

It was great to get on the beers in the evening and hear all the stories from the day , it was a really funny night. :D

Thanks to my good mate STM for the usual hospitality at his house and for letting me learn and lead through part of his home territory.

As always it was a pleasure riding with all of you old bulls , can’t wait for the next OBT event :woohoo:

    Another great Old Bulls Ride!!!

A huge thanks to STM for organising the rides. Thanks to STM and Nickj for leading and Spud, Dj and Boony for Sweep duties…

Congrats to Adam for the Old Bull Spirit Award..

Top Effort to those who drove extra long distances to participate………..

I had a great weekend and rode pretty consistent Friday and Saturday… The conditions were great and I think the afternoon ride Saturday was tops for me as I rode my best and it had a bit more singles than the morning… Fridays ride was a great warm up and I struggled a little on the greasy hill climb.. Tackled most hills pretty good Saturday and still not keen to try the Widow maker… Maybe next year…

It was nice to meet the crew from the far north and many other new faces……..

    Thanks again all…..

This would have to be one of the coolest bit of trails I have ever ridden.
