I did not realise there was going to be an advenure ride until I got a call from STM this morning.
So looks like my name better go on the list.
Just have to organise accomodation now.
As discussed with STM I am quite happy to help organise / Lead / Sweep as need be.
If there is no set route yet I can come up with a couple of options to see what everyone wants to do.
STM suggested going up through Old Gleninness Road to the top of Gibraltar Range
Another option might be a trip down to Pub with No Beer for lunch.
Just thoughts.

Good onya Maso!
Great to say your name on here. Your help will be invaluable and Nickj will be in touch to talk about possible routes. As for accommodation there is plenty of camping space at Darlington Beach and there always seems to be last minute spare beds in cabins.STM
October 29, 2012 at 2:02 am #231591Got a mate with a camper trailer that I might look at borrowing if I can.
Couple of bloke I ride with all the time will probably tag along for the ride as well.
October 29, 2012 at 4:36 am #230882Great,,,
A local with some knowledge of the area to keep an eye on us.
Pretty sure NickJ has most of the route sorted ready for us to load up onto the Garmins Maso ,,,Still great to have some more guys that may have an idea of where we are
See ya there, should be fun
October 29, 2012 at 7:07 am #231596This ride is staring to get some good momentum. It will be a great day out for all those bringing up their big bikes.

October 29, 2012 at 9:00 am #231598Great that your on for this one Maso
. Local knowledge is the key and your closer than me to that area mate
The run to The Pub with No Beer is one I’m unsure of but would make a top ride if you can make a dirt road / fire trail loop out of it.
Looks like this rides going to be a cracker !!!!

I was thinking more of Bark Hut onto Slaters Crossing then Tee Tree out to Sherwood Road.
Virtually the World Rally section Backwards.
We quite often do Pub With No Beer loop with about 80% dirt nice easy run for a cold beer and a good feed.

Sounds perfect mate! Great country through there with a great pub as the turn around point.

October 30, 2012 at 9:19 pm #230883Talking to Nickj last night looks like I have been handed the ADV section to look after.
Chris and I put togeather a track yesterday.
Here is the link to Google maps version of it http://goo.gl/maps/v7yTc
Google will not let you go through one section that is why it takes you so far then back across the centre. We will be doing a full loop of about 312 Km.
Let me know what you think.October 30, 2012 at 11:29 pm #230884Hi Guys,
As I will be coming up with Krusty for this weekend, please put me down for the ADV ride on the Saturday. Can I have information regarding fuel as I only have a stock tank on my DR650 and it won’t cut the mustard on 312K’s.

October 30, 2012 at 11:35 pm #231695I intend to do a run on 10/11 or 11/11 to check out exact distance and fuel availability, road conditions etc.
There is also talk of my mates missus meeting us somewhere halfway with an esky so fuel could be arranged to be there.
If worst comes to worst I can carry 14 Litres in Rotopax easily.October 30, 2012 at 11:40 pm #230885Thanks Maso,
Will wait on your findings
