Looks like I might be in the same predicament as last year, on the verge of swapping the rear tyre but deciding t leave it be for the Coffs ride. Due the inclement weather last year I stopped at the bike shop in Coffs and got them to fit a new tyre
I won’t be this year though, don’t have the time to change a tyre before Coffs, especially not pissing around with a mousse. I’ve ebeen getting them on alright recently, I know if I try and change it when I’mon a tight schedule though there will be drama’s!
November 19, 2012 at 8:01 am #223520The fuel pumps are back and flowing in Glenreagh so there will be no need to shuttle out all those Jerry cans. Saturday will be about 110km so if you need fuel you can top up out there. It is no fancy 98 octane stuff but it has no ethanol in it. If you want an octane boost bring some additive with you. For the two banger crew you will need some oil.
To keep things moving at lunch it is probably best to order your food and then cruise down the road and fill up while your lunch is being made. The fuel pumps are at the general store only 100 meters from the pub.STM

I would never do anything illegal on my registered bike.
Mike – Wouldn’t a veteran of the Scottish Six Days Trial be better equipped to handle such a tyre changing task. If only there was someone going to Coffs that had completed it

As an aside, the weather forexcast is looking somewhat better than last year, seems the budget must be bigger this year and Scotty has splashed out (no pun intended) on some good weather!
