A mate and I are going for a ride on Sunday.
Through Dairyville up to Ulong / Lowana then follow the Rally route down to Glenreagh for a feed and a couple of beers.
Then on to Sherwood Creek Road back to Plumb Pudding and follow the Rally route back to Woolgoolga.
From there depending on time and how everyone feels we can either blacktop back to Coffs or go through Sherwood back to Coffs.
Probably around 100 to 150KM with fuel available at Glenreagh and Woolgoolga.
I will probably take 7.5 Litres in my Rotopax if needed by anyone.
No great organisation just a nice easy ride to get some time on the bike.
The hardest hill will be up Pine road but that is still twin trail not rutted or even that steep but quite long with lots of BIG erosion humps.
Any one is quite welcome to come along no matter what grade.
Everyone can ride at their own pace as ther will be plenty of stops as needed.
We will be getting Fuel at the BP oppisite the Showgroung at about 8.30 Sunday morning.
PM me if you want to come no limit to numbers.
This is my first go at ride organising so be gentle on me.
I have actually never been on an organised ride as I have always just ridden with the same mates.

    Coming so far

    No worries Nick.

We ride every second weekend so if it goes Ok I will probably try and organise one a month.

    Got a DRZ 400 2008 and just bought a couple of months ago a DR650 2007.

We have been doing a lot more longer runs lately so I have to work out if I can afford to run two bikes or not.

Bought theDR 650 as we did Flinders Ranges in March this year ( Saltlake races that were cancelled ) on the 400 and want to do it again next year in a little more comfort.

Any chance of increasing the Kms and taking in the tunnel on the old grafton to Glen innes road.I’ve been meaning to do it for some time.

Also there is a chat going on, on the ADV forum about it and we may be able to get a few more involved.

I’ll PM you my details to have a chat about it. If you don’t want to that’s OK.

    Cheers Gordo’

P.S. I also ride a DRZ 400. and I live in Byron Bay, so not too far.

If you do have time Maso either on this ride or at a later date I totally recommend the old Glenn Innes road and theirs a heap of good options off it to Ebor , Nymboida and further north if you want an overnighter ;)
Both these links are reports on rides in this area :)

This weekend just want a quick get on the bike not too far.
Will definatly do the Old Glen Innes road again especially as the days are getting longer.
Have done a full day from Coffs up through there and back down the mountain then through Copmanhurst, very long day though.
That discussion on ADV is with “Shedmarket”( my boss ) he rides a GS800 with us but he is off the bike for a few months due to surgery on his neck.

Quite often we do a days ride up to Nymboida and back through Glenreagh, good fun ride with a good variety of terrain.
I will let all know when we do it again.

just FYI guys we rode Coffs with lunch at Glenreagh a few weeks back and there did not appear to be any fuel there. Closest would be down the road a BaNana Glen.

just a heads up to keep in mind…… if you do know of fuel at Glenreagh don’t hesitate to let us know!

Fuel was always available at the shop just down the road from the Pub on the same side.

    May have changed !

    I will check on Sunday.

I always carry extra fuel anyway.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I can confirm there is NO fuel in Glenreagh. The pumps at the shop are gone.

Play called off due to rain and also the two riders being old soft c*%k’s.

Looks like a good maintainance day.

Waylo needs to fit his Vapor so looks like that will be the order for the day.

That and a few refreshments of course.
