The Coffs MX club are opening the gates to punters and club members every Friday from 4 till 8pm. For $30 for a non licenese holder it is a good deal so Nickj, Kram and myself headed out to check the action. Boony showed up for moral support and Kram bought along his young fella on his 65cc. He rode 5 sessions for a full 20 minutes each. We did not fare so well  They split seniors and juniors into 20 minute blocks so you get a good run. Kram showed his MX experience and gave Nick and I some good advice. The vibe was mellow and everyone was very friendly.
A great way to spend a Friday afternoon!!!
Nick and I both filmed so I combined our footage and threw an edit together.

    Fully sick Scotty.

Looks like they get a pretty good turnout up there.

Good “race” practice for when you come down for the Transmoto 12hr, there will be plenty of overtaking. Entries open on Feb 1st I believe. Me, Bob and another mate are entering a 4 man team and just having 3 riders, my old man is the 4th team member/pit bitch.

    Great vid STM ,
That was only the second time I’ve ridden an mx track and the first since I’ve had a decent enough bike to do it on. I have to say I loved every minute of it , it’s so different to trail riding and the level of fitness needed is huge. The first session was a shock and after only 4 laps felt pretty pumped.
In total we clocked up about 25 laps over 3 sessions and I think both STM and I had increased our speed a heap by the last 2 laps , the jumps were a lot of fun with some decent air towards the end.

I managed to blow both front fork seals completely and bottomed the forks a few times flat landing of the crazy ski ramp they had.

The crew that rode were very friendly and it was great to see Kram again , he goes well on the track and offered some good advise that I will be putting into practice the next mx day.

This is definitely the first of many of these for me I had a ball and have already enquired about doing some social racing at the local track.

Cheers for the invite and the lamb shanks STM :)

It was Kram into me. He had tried to take me out by landing on me and when that failed he launched a ground attack

I was surprised you didn’t even have a little look to see if Kram was ok :D

I did have a quick look over my shoulder but considering how hard Kram was charging I saw it as my only chance to get a lap on him B)

You can recreate that WR450 ad were the bloke rides out of the office straight into the trails.

How do you use the computer? Sit backwards on the bike? :)

👿 There was a heap of great ruts forming on the inside lines. I was trying to practice the ruts but ran out of talent :pinch: Sorry Scotty

Banging Bars is half the fun :woohoo:

It was a great afternoon and tops to catch up with you both again.

I called the club today and they plan to run every Friday from 4 till 8 pm during daylight saving. It is about the most fun you can have for $30 so if others are keen let’s name a Friday and see how many OBT we can get there.
