With STM out of town and Nato unable to attend it was down to just BellingenEv and myself for the ride.
After meeting at the bottom of Bruxner we drove the winding road to to the top unloaded the bikes and got straight into it.
Starting out it was some good rutty fire trails nice and easy with some good little hills. Ev got that sinking feeling after trying to cross a bog hole straight through the guts, I helped pull him out with him and his bike covered in mud but still smiling :cheer:
From here we headed toward lower bucca, mostly fire trails with a few singles thrown in. Coming out of a nice singletrail we saw a forboding familiar sight; Widowmaker.
Ev went straight up and back down making it look easy,I had 2 cracks, flipped on the second  Widowmaker claimed another of my clutch levers  ..theres always next time.
From here Ev lead the way through some trails he had done previously one of which pretty sure was No lines. Not long after this I binned the 530, bit of skin off the elbow, big lump on my ankle, alls good 😆
From here we came across a huge single trail loop that had been cut through the bush, great stuff, someone went to alot of effort to cut it out thats for sure.
As we started to head back for Bruxner I got a puncture, which ended our ride a little prem.
We headed back to the cars, Ev changed my tube, but by this time it was definantly beer oclock. :P

Cheers to Ev for a great ride, looking forward to the next one.

Yeah thanks for the ride Burnsey, always good to ride somewhere new and now I live in coffs I cant wait to suss out the northside.
I didnt realize the widow maker is so close to coffs.
I wonder if STM knows the trail we found near the junction of johnson and ward, a nice handmade single that someone put heaps of effort into but looks like no one has ridden for ages

    Hi Mate,

I just got back from a 3 day camping trip in the Gibraltar Ranges. Glad to hear you boys had a good day out!. I have not ridden the single you found but am keen to check it out next time we all meet up.

Sounds like there might be a mystery Lantana Man lurking around the Coffs forests eh
