Holy Shit,
Heres hoping all is well with EV…………….Last quote I heard from Ev was..
“Shit it took me 3 years to get you blokes up here………….”
Well we’ll be back when you are ready, Man. 👿 👿 :woohoo: :pinch:Don’t feel bad about the rest of the ride. :woohoo:
It was looking good until the rain drenched us.Now the trails had become silly
Actually impossable :silly:  :pinch:
Ev, as ya know, once you have a shower on that damn red clay. :angry:Did some very steep singles, out that way, and that way further.??????????
Headed up some crazy steep “fire trail”I was meant to be sweeping
Unfortunately, I thought I had a shot at GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This hill had the perfect line up for my bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn’t happen often
But occassinaly all the worlds align. :pinch:Glad you made the step at the top of that little hill, Rick
I was so looking for a way around ya, if I had too. :whistle:Much more, later
Cheers
MurphJune 10, 2013 at 1:19 pm #243474WOW! That’s not good Ev. Speedy but careful recovery mate.
Well done to the crew for getting out.
June 10, 2013 at 6:33 pm #243379I hate reading these kind of stories, Hope you have a speedy recovery EV, 5 hours of surgery sounds serious.
cheers mate.
June 10, 2013 at 9:21 pm #243380Sorry to hear that Ev, good luck with the recovery
June 10, 2013 at 9:28 pm #243485So, after we sorted Ev, we did some nice singles back up into the mountains.
Chris had the GPS cranking and we managed to do some nice stuff before the heavens opened.
I must appolagise to Dave.
He had stopped on a hill and I was behind him with the 500 singing in the sweet spot
I wasn’t going to stop as I was looking straight up at another mother of a hill.
Unfortunately as I tore past, Dave fell to his right and I clipped his helmet with my handle bars.  :pinch: Sorry, mate. It shook him up a bit but he was OK.
We didn’t get to the top of that hill as the rain fell hard.
It was funny following Mohamad along almost flat ground and watching him fish tail almost out of control in a desperate attempt to get traction. That was one hell of a slippery track, dude.

We all made it back to the cars and packed up in the rain.
Thanks to all the riders
Mohamad, Tas, Dave, KTM_Rules, Rick, Mick, Thrillseeker, Tim and of course Ev.
As always it was good to meet some more Old Bulls
Cheers

Bloody good job you had some stars with you to help with the evac well done to all involved. :cheer:this hasn’t been a good start to the 2013 season, the old bull Rehab/Physio tent is going to be bursting at mt seaview…
June 11, 2013 at 12:28 am #243496I just spoke to EV and he is discharged from hospital and back at home. He will have a chance to get on at some point and give the full story but at least we know the surgery went well and now the healing begins.

June 11, 2013 at 1:37 am #243500Thanks to all the well wishers im home now, still a bit wasted ill post the whole story a bit later.
Special thanks to Mohamed for all his help and the lift down the mountain I think it took about 45mins
even though in a straight line we were only 3ks from my house.
I knew it was really bad as soon as I saw it, it was kinked in 2 separate places,
The doctors were using the term smashed, i broke both bones in two places with the pieces in between broken up into 10 smaller pieces ,it took 5 hours, they had to cut both sides to get in there to piece it back together with multiple plates and screws and bone grafts to fill up the gaps.
So disappointed, if it had happened at the end of the day I would have felt a bit better, but apparently it pissed down anyway.
It was my good arm too :laugh:June 11, 2013 at 1:49 am #243504Did they give you some good shit in the hospital?
I know its not the first and probably not the last time you will be out of action, just happened at a bad time with a few good rides coming up.
June 11, 2013 at 3:13 am #243507Heal up nicely Ev.

Big thanks to KTM_Rules for organising for us to jump on a Sunday ride at Bago
Bigger thanks to Grahem and Dianne for puting us up and feeding us in the morning. :woohoo:
Also to the Wauchope boys and girl. Cheers.
Reconised some Old Bull faces amonst them.
Great day, great singles, great creek tracks, great hills, great crew.
Didn’t get to take many photos
Wished some one was there to take piccy’s of my trip over the hangers.
Watched the boys go down a steep steppy hill and I thought I would take the harder looking option.
Well that was a mistake. :silly:
Just as my front wheel was about to drop down one of the rock steps I gave the throttle a blapp and nothing happened.  Silly thing just cut out as these fuel injected things do occassionally.
In that split second I knew I was a gorner. Over the bars hard with the bike tumbling after me. Broke the tail piece (again) and luckily I was reasonably uninjured.
The rest of the ride was cool but I was feeling pretty fatigured by the end.
Thanks to all involved. :woohoo: :woohoo: especially Thomo and Kuna (spelling) for leading and sweeping
Cheers
