    Hey guys,
Two other guys and myself are going to travel across the widest part of Australia soon and we want to take the opportunity to invite as many fellow riders / adventurers to start our adventure with us. We are leaving from Byron Bay on the 15th of May 2011. Please give us a hoy if your interested or have any questions or comments for us.

    Cheers,

Yeah true but will the same be happening during our adventure and after our adventure when we start telling people what we achieved during our journey??? I am looking forward to meeting the different communities along the way, seeing the scenery and the beautiful colours of outback Australia and getting to meet and interview some of the riders, drivers and officials of the Finke Desert Race just to mention a few of the many things we have planned.

We are progressively getting some good backing / sponsors behind us which we have worked bloody hard to get with many hundreds of hours posting submissions and speaking to managers, ceo’s etc of many many companies whom we are still seeking.

Our adventure is not going to be easy as we are planning to ride a very different route to what previous adventurers have traveled….. straight across Australia…..

Very open to constructive criticism but please remember before anybody makes senseless criticism; what adventure are you taking on.

Looking forward to the advice that the more experienced riders can give us.

    Cheers,

100% right I thought you guys got treated a little rough over there. And you are so right you are doing it, taking the time and making the effort I know what it’s like to organise a big ride (not as big as yours) and how quickly people that have no idea or can’t be bothered or just plain jealous will cut it down

Good luck as a fellow Tenere rider and adventure rider I will be following with interest

Good onya’s for having a crack. It’s the aussie way. If we all worried about what people say we’d never get on a bike or take any risk at all. I’m planning on doing some big trips with the missus on an adventure bike as I get older. Just me and her riding off into the sunset. :cheer:

Hey Dusty, like I say in my signature…. let your dreams become adventures which is what we are planning to do as well. I must say that your desires almost sound a little romantic 😆

Thanks for the encouragement guys and looking forward to meeting as many of you at our send-off as possible.

Yes Jeffro I hear ya mate:laugh:
Nah it will be cool. We will do some smaller rides first to see how we go.

I had a go on the 1200 Tenere up at Wauchope a couple of months ago. What a beast of a machine. It was in the wet too and took a bit to get the hang of it especially the tracksion control:huh: It was a blast though.

What was the super tenere like to ride, here I am thinking the 660 is heavy enough…

    Yes – GOLD!!!!

So how many of you guys live within traveling distance to our send-off point?
