Why is it that company cars always seem to go faster than your own and when you jump them over gutters and traffic islands they seem to just keep on going.
If you owned a company would you let your employees drive your vehicles knowing their gunna flog it???September 9, 2009 at 5:34 am #151674Our company car is a Camry Altise……….same shape and colour as Moto’s Taxi, just not as fast. I have worked out that it can easily be shifted into forward whilst still moving backwards.
Speaking of Moto’s car,his secret name for it is Hoover. He bought it to pick up bits of fluff.

September 9, 2009 at 6:57 am #151693and economy never seems to be an issue, or getting genuine services and parts every few weeks and who cares about trade-in prices???
to answer Boony yes it’s all pre-tax and depreciation, and if they need it they need it, just not a Full on top o’ line Monaro like one of my old Bosses bought himself and then got given as part of his severance deal in his redundancy, that he knew was coming up when he authorised it for himself 2 months earlier.

September 9, 2009 at 10:41 am #151777Sorry ECKS but if that first video (was the only one I watched) is flogging a work vehicle dont lend chicken or I a work vehicle mate. I have towed a trailer through the bridle trail with a falcon mate, and mine site work vehicles and then there is rented cars that’s even worse
Ask Chicken about pick a gear with work vehicles

September 9, 2009 at 10:54 am #151782Actually the first one was the warm up, but you never get the best stuff on video do ya!?
I’ve had mine on two wheels with the chainy ready to bail out on a steep hill, I’ve belted the crap out of the underside (thank god for sump guards!), I’ve flogged it through some of those bulldozed “tracks” around Burraga… it hasn’t had as hard a life as a mine vehicle, but it has earnt its keep!
Which reminds me of a Hilux in Wambo open cut coal mine where I used to work. Only car I have ever been in where the jesus bar on the dash and the grab bar over the door had the bolts flogged out completely! The bloke I worked with was a shocker for not seeing things – like recently blasted ground – and saying “SHIT, HANG ON MATE!!”
September 9, 2009 at 10:58 am #151783I always have a laugh to myself when people advertise our ex-work vehicle for sale and state things like “ex-chaser” as if it is a good thing or a selling point.
