 Looks like they are a tad slow to get going each morning :P I have no idea why that would be

They also seem to be heading further into S.A. & furthere away from the Corner,,,
Dodging wet roads or Locusts maybe :)

I can see a big swing towards this type of adventure from now on on here, it looks like an awsome trip & as soon as the sacrificial lambs are back, we can all hook into organising our own sojourns out there for the future :woohoo:

Yeah Chicken and I where just discussing the wayward route they seemed to be taking. For a moment we thought someone had pinched Nicks DRZ and was making a B-line for Adelaide.

 Not much further west & Perth will be in their sights :woohoo:

Reckon TB has let the Tenere find its head & he is just a mere passenger (as usual) :P

    Yunta SA @ ExplorOz Places
Yunta is on the Adelaide to Broken Hill section of the Barrier Highway, and is today a small service hub for travellers and surrounding properties.
Looks like a resupply spot for beer and good spirits for our weary travelers

If you zoom in on Yunta, on the tracker or go to Google Earth and find Yunta South Australia…you’ll see a track heading Northish from there. I think you’ll find they are heading up towards the Flinders Ranges, but should pass on the East side between the Ranges and Lake Frome….then go further north to join the Strezlecki track, then continue further north until they can come east over to the corner! me thinks!

Just got off the phone with TB………

TB Quote……”last night you could of bought a Tenere for a six pack of bundy and a plane ticket”

But after a phone call to one of our brilliant sponsors TEKNIK,…………….. Brad told TB to simply soften the rear suspension and now………..

TB Quote…..”it’s a Dakar performing machine in the sand!”

They’ve just made Yunta, they’ve had a tremendous day, a “golden day”. A day that has had everything you would ever dream that an adventure riding day in the middle of nowhere should have. A squillion sand dunes, flowing tracks, sites you’d never forget and can’t even begin to do justice by explaining.
Lotsa ran out of fuel – flattened his battery trying to start it…..but not a problem in the end.

Bollocks and owl went the black top, but were beaten by the bikes to Yunta.

They’re giving Owl heaps because he wants a motel bed tonight, but everyone else wants to rough it!

That’s from a quick 1-2 minute phone call, I’ll ring later tonight and get some more details.

    Crash

PS looks like Owl lost, the tracker is still moving north, must be looking for a camp site!!!

Well, TB is talking swahealy again tonight!

They’re having Roo kebabs for dinner.

The Chief cook and driver Bollocks, even though they were on the tar top today…….managed to lose Boulders’ swag!!!

So, apparently, Bollocks has agreed to spoon if it gets too cool tonight :S .

Jeffro flew off one dune today and bottomed out the big Vstrom and bend a footpeg and bolts. So, they drilled them out and replaced the bolts as required.

Slight rain and pretty windy at the moment.

They all sound in great spirits. Covered about 450kms today.

Plan on continuing north tomorrow, meet up with the Strezlecki track, follow through until get level with the corner, then turn east and continue until they reach the ‘yellow bus’ for the nights’ camp, if all goes to plan.

(If you switch your tracker page to satellite and go to the camerons corner, then zoom in, you’ll see a track heading west. This heads out to Merty Merty where the Strez. track goes to….follow along that and you’ll see where someone has plotted the ‘the yellow bus’ – these plotted points can be way way off sometimes, so like wikipedia, don’t take it as gospel that this is exactly where the bus is!, but that’s where they’re headed tomorrow)

    Crash

Nb. probably quicker just to put Camerons corner in ‘fly to’ as destination in Google earth, then look west as mentioned above.

It looks like the boys found a good camping spot. No movement from the tracker yet.

The boys rang me this morning for a weather / road update as they had about 20mm rain last night and SA Roads advice is 3 days old rain and thunder storms predicted for area, and they were trying to work out to press on or abandon the corner.

How’s their luck?? Go to the centre of the driest Continent on earth and you get an inch of rain on your head. Unbelievable. Hope they get to the corner. :)

Just got off the phone from a dejected TB. Unfortunatly it rained “Like forty bastards” last night and the boys have had to make the decision to abort their plans of going to Camerons Corner. It was reported that Moose woke up with a swimming pool in his tent and he had to wring out his riding gear for today. They are now waiting back at Yunta, hoping that the service vehicle can make it back there through the mud. The amended trip will now include a 200km blacktop run to Broken Hill and then onto Silverton, where they have booked a bunk house and are going to keep drinking untill they get locked up. ;)

Apparently Boony, they have decided that it is all your fault.
