Not long ago got a call from TB, they are back at Menindee lakes and have pulled up stumps for the arvo and are into the cans whilst the Kitchen girl (AKA Bollocks) is preparing yearling steak and veges with craw bobs for dessert.

TB said that the run today would have to be in his top 3 rides ever and has scored it 9.5 out of 10.

He also said that Burple badly needed an oil change last night but Moose chose to go to the pub instead. Gotta love XR’s

Reckon TB would have been telling Nick that they could detour thru Kandos the get some of that magic “Harden the F#&* Up Powder” :P He used that line on my when I injured my foot on the Hill End ride a while back

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I hope it turns out good for Nick, it has been a damn long preparation & a long haul to get to Ivanhoe as it is,,,,,

    Good Luck Nick

Reckon TB has let the Tenere find its head & he is just a mere passenger (as usual) :P

Gee you are tough when I am not around beagle…..

Nick from Tekniks sorted my suspension out in a minute. Turns out I just had to put it back where Nick had set it originally …..

It wasn’t Owl that wanted to stay at pubs it was krusty who has said he won’t be doing another ride unless it’s pub stays…

Gaz and Bollocks have done an amazing job…

I felt bad about Nick’s fall, I lost the front end coming into a bog hole and went down. I struggled with the bike all day and was very disapointed and thought it was me I couldn’t relax all day. Nick who I rode with said many a time it looked bad. Moose went for a ride on it and said it was an accident waiting to happen and it was dangerous. He said don’t ride it till you fix it. As above a call to Nick at Tekniks a tyre pressure change , preload change and the forks through the triple trees and it’s a fantastic ride now..

More later cheers Krusty for the loan of the I phone

    Hello from Menindi Lake.

What a long ride it has been. I cannot describe just how awesome the riding has been other than. Awesome or as Gaz would say ‘just f#<&'n gold'

I couldn’t sleep while lying here in my tent just past midnight listening to the rain come down. I was running through the days riding in my head and thought I would post a mini mid ride report of sorts.

Today was unbelievable blasting along the railway line out of Broken Hill. It ended with some fairly tight dual track sandy stuff going up and down twisting and turning dodging washouts and slip sliding along the way. TB described it as being so good that it has ranked in 1 of his top 3 best rides ever.

I find it hard to choose which day has been the best so far as each has been unique and equally challenging and there is still more to come. :) The planning has been so awesome and has really paid off. Thanks Greg.

I must say. I don’t mind riding in the rain but camping in it just plain sucks and only a fool would think otherwise ;) I reckon if I ever get another opportunity to do something like this again for so long and so far away from home it will be pub/hotel stops and sleeping all the way. EDIT(eat crow krusty foot in mouth.. :) Definitely will do it again next year and suck it up if it rains..)

Since leaving TB’s Sunday morning the GPS tells me that so far I have rode 1866 km with a moving time of 22 hours and 46 minutes. Many more km and hours to go ;)

I’ll close with just how awesome Bollocks and Owl02 have been. They been busting @$$ keeping us supported and the food has been just remarkable. Thanks so much fellas you guys are TOP blokes. .

Thats it for now. I’ll see y’all on the other side!

how good is technology now days?? I was impressed with the fact we could watch the ride unfold via the spot tracker, now we have Krusty doing live ride reports from a tent in the middle of Kickatinalong

Well done boys, here’s hoping the weather gods are kind to you. Enjoy the rest of the ride.

You are right Mick, the technology changes the game completely. I have had one text and a brief call from Nickj yet I feel like I was there! It had been good fun following the boys and commenting from the sidelines. The Spot Tracker is something we need a group buy on. B)

Bugger the Technology taking us along for the ride, next time I’m gunna go :woohoo:

Sounds Like the crew is having a blast and as yet no major problems.

Imagine their IQ’s when they get back after so many nights around the ring of knowledge

I’m looking forward to seeing some of the pictures and hearing some of the yarns.

Just got off the phone from the boys,They are as we speak ,planning “The Great Escape” they got hammered by the weather last night and need to get out of where they are in a hurry. TB said that is so slippery, Moose fell arse over head just walking to his bike.

They still sound in good spirits and are having fun.

Their only option now is to head back to Broken Hill and decide then, what to do.

Last report I got was that the boys managed to get out, although it was pretty sketchy.

I was also talking to Bollocks and he mentioned that the service vehicle was all over the place like a mad womans…………..
The last thing I heard from him was “oh shit here comes the mother of all mud holes, gotta go….beep beeep beep beeep.”

Looks to me they are making a b-line for Cobar. If that is the case they will have done 557km for the day in very adverse conditions.
