October 16, 2010 at 10:57 pm #189020And so to some pictures
Ready, set, go! all geared up.
Strange rock formation near Dunedoo
Heading for Trundle just outside of Peak Hill
Onto the dirt,
Trundle
The bikes at Condo in the morning
Support vehicle weighed down to the axles
Ride pictures (not necessarily in the right order though)
Waiting for the support vehicle that never showed
The reason it never showed
Just up the road and the first (and maybe only) off for the week.
Just too slow to get it on it’s side
Where Nick went off trying to avoid TB
Lunching at Ivanhoe while Nick is in with the doctors
Our awesome support crew
Bike shine and dust are a bad combination
Menindee Camp Site
Day 2 and Eastward, ever eastward
Looking Back
Looking Forward
There were a few gates
Some shots on the go
More random shots
Then to Yunta and the weather closed in
The next morning heading back to Yunta
Morning tea consisited of a beer and a snack
Then to broken hill and Silverton
Where the super support crew cooked up a storm (as if we hadn’t had enough storms)
Bol’s Marinated Pork
Gaz working on the mash
TB and Boulder again working on a different route
Wild horses on the road back to Broken Hill
Some lovely wild flowers on the great sandy trail (I made that name up)
Back at Menindee and set up camp
And then the trouble started, rain all night makes goop of the roads the next day
The support vehicle on it’s great escape
the Strom after escaping the muck, actually thinking back I wish I had taken some photos of the tracks I had left to give you an idea of just how much I struggled but I was thinking of other things at the time.
And finally the wet run to Cobar the long way round.
That only leaves a couple of videos to come.October 16, 2010 at 11:53 pm #189021Oh shit there is some stuff to unpack, dry, clean and put away would be easier to go on another ride

October 17, 2010 at 12:15 am #189024I just replaced the last picture that was doubled up with the one I meant to put there.
If you click on this one it will come up bigger and you can see the dust off in the distance that shows how far behind I had gotten from stopping to take pictures.

A 4w4 had slid of the road the evening before and it had rained a lot more since that, so we packed up and got ready to perform what Bollocks said would be the great escape
Here is some video selections of the escape, the pre escape interviews etc
