what do you think about the cornerman if theres a large group, The reason i ask is the ride im trying to get goin on at stroud as there is probably a few that would like to come but i have capt it at 20 or so riders, i liked what STM done at coffs in splitting it into 2 groups but we dont have the same setup as we dont have 2 seperate loops as buladelah is at the farend of the loop so just a suggestion to see what you thought was if we have a lead rider and in the middle 2 sweeps i.e that is one to finish the first group and the other the start of the second group with another sweep on the end of the second group. This way we can have 2 groups following each other what do yous think and if not have you got any suggestions
January 21, 2011 at 12:05 pm #195001Just run 2 or even 3 man corner and do the loop together. It will spread everyone out and is way more social. On Mick’s last birthday ride he had over 30 on one loop and he pulled it off.

January 21, 2011 at 2:18 pm #195004Husky I have been running Rides with two a corner since well two years on the big rides. Two gives them someone to talk to and keeps the group closer. But you would be surprised how often it breaks down as it seems people can’t count to two

January 21, 2011 at 8:59 pm #195002I am all for the 2 man corner with big groups.
I was stuck on a corner for what felt like hours with me, myself and I, me and myself got on alright but I was as boring as bat shit, don’t leave me on a corner with him again.
Big groups can have big delays and someone there to keep you sane is a good thing.PTW
January 21, 2011 at 9:22 pm #195005yeah I think the two man system is the go.I too have spent ages in the bush on my own waiting for some problem to be sorted. It takes the fun out of it but if you have someone with you it helps pass the time. It also gives you a chance to have a yak with other riders in the group.
January 21, 2011 at 10:13 pm #195006yeah that’s alright but what if you got stuck on a corner with booby? you would have riders necking themselves

in all seriousness though too many people just take off when they see the hivis vest of the sweep when they are on a corner, even the sweeps can need someone to help them if thety have a badly injured rider, i tell my rides to wait for a thumbs up from the sweep beofre taking off, seems to work for us….January 22, 2011 at 7:48 am #195009snowy09 wrote:
