Sorry Dan, was looking forward to having you guys along as I didn’t get to chat much at the Christmas Party but for a quick hi. Besides I feel there is hope for you, you don’t ride one of those orange s*#tboxes and as you ride a Yamaha you may yet see the light and go red we may even let you join! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We have added a red KLX650 to the stable if that helps.
Other than that it’s blue all the way.

Orange should only be seen on Stihl chainsaws. Those orange bikes should be poo brown (more fitting colour for such a quality product)

What about you Mick, an easy ride to ease yourself back into the saddle, no single track its the reason you bought the XR remember? Moose and a couple of the boys, travel down Friday night swag it up and go, be home by 9 Sunday night.

Overnight at a Pub be home for you, if I can make the effort to go for a ride in QLD, you are less then 3 hrs from Corrangbong, I have to go nearly 2hrs to get the Cooranbong, come no excuses you didn’t ride the Christmas Party

You must have read my mind old fella, I was just down the shed sitting on the fancy white chair in the corner looking at the XR thinking about this very topic, I will have to run it by my missus as her motorcycle tolerance level is at an all time low after my stack.
I will have a yarn to Moose today and see if he is keen. It has wet my appetite and you are right it may be a good ride for me to get back into it as I don’t think I will be ready for RiderX boot camp on the 16th Jan, my missus wanted me to go for a walk last night and when we got home my foot was giving me some curry, so it isn’t as good as I thought.

For a rear I have been using Pirelli Scorpion Rear tyre for sometime, it is the only rear tyre I ever used and got more than 1000km out of, including racing with the same one tyre, I still have and have kept it for more trail riding. I rate the traction as good as any tyre I have used before, I recommended one to Crash and he is very happy with his. Or Michelin Baja, great wear, good grip

Front tyre I would say a M12 Michelin, wear well good grip, I have one of Ollie’s retreads on a the moment, but the knobs are to long and flex and roll to much for hard pack, its scary on the tar I found out the other day, and on the hard pack its the same, great in the watagans in the wet though. ADB had the same thought regarding the retread I see in their write up of the front retread.

Champo, would Racey Tracy be interested in maybe taking a friend and doing the support diving role, Moto is having dreams that the thumb will come good be then and he will be able to drive, although if she drove your ute for example and took a friend we then have no spare seat for a rider if his bike breaks down or the likes??

Your thoughts Champo? Anybody have any ideas? I don’t think Moto’s thumb will be up to the business by the ride and he said he will do the support role regardless, but am exploring options.

I’ll just drive the Suby with a trailer on (whoever has the most suited). I could ride by then but I still have some stuff to do to my bike and can’t be arsed with rushing it around to get sorted like before the last ride.

Tracy can bring a friend anyway though

I’m 99K’s from Cooranbong and 1.5 hours. You can crash at mine if you so desire. I’ll be leaving in the Scooby in the morning.
