Up early and off to fetch fuel and then race to buttaba to meet up. Singles were fantastic and conditions were awesome :woohoo: :woohoo:

Ride went great until I got to a slippery hill on the way to creek track one that everyone else rode up no problem, four attempts later and I was sucking air like a blacksmiths bellows and the boys had to attach the tow rope   That hill is on my hit list for next time, maybe second gear. That took a toll on the old body

From this end of the equation, big thanks to Murph and Tim for putting on this ride. I had a great day and the exit out of dandelion creek is definately intimidating, a rock face to a 90 degree uphill turn that is less than a bike length long onto slippery steep clay. Bar touched on that for me too and I have no idea how tim rode it in one hit.

Saw a few things today that really made me blink and check twice.

The KATO is sporting a few new battle scars that will be labelled with pride

Thanks again chaps ….. until next time.

Big thanks to murph & Tim for putting on a great ride, also thanks to Ben for some of his excellent track development. What a great day…. a bit drier in the creek beds would have been welcome, but in general you could not have asked for better conditions, some of the single line had the best soil consistancy that I have ridden on in those areas.
despite our dramas in the creeks the day flowed well.. with some great pace on the afternoon run back home, ending with a welcome swim and re-ride relaxing in the sun around Murph’s pool.

    Thanks again,

    Dr Nick.

    Much dust? ;)

That’s a typical Murph ride right there. Excellent Vid Squiggle. Murph you should link that video to all your NSW Rides posts. No grading required. Just post a link to this Murph “primer” video.

Bit of a rad-crunch moment there Squiggle? :D

I particularly like the part where you guys turn left up into a creek. The right hand side looks narly enough – no lets go this way – up the creek!

“Which bit? Down there or up?” (Which slippery boulder infested rainforest outcrop should I crash through?)

    Awesome, well done all.
