I’m in the market for a new pair of boots, looking at spending anywhere between $300 and $500, not a small investment, so I am making sure I get the best value for money, fit and protection out there.

I’ve just been to 3 bike shops in the Wollongong area and only 1 offered any sort of customer service, that was after I’d already tried on 2 pairs of boots. The other 2 were no where to be seen.

I guarantee I know more about price, quality and choice of the boot range available after a few hours research on the net than the dipshit wannabe motocross racers working in these shops anyway.

So they can stick there local business, profit and economic stimulation up their arseholes! I’m buying online, whether that be from OS or local depends on the best price I can get for the boots I’m after.

    Rant over. 👿

Were the boots to go with your Avatar Lc ?

You have a point there with employing wanna be Motox deadsh%ts Lc.

Don’t know why these blokes who own these shops don’t employ sales people.Real sales people, just cause the bloke can ride a bike doesn’t mean he can sell to your customers.
A retired sales rep who has been selling cattle drench for 40 years would do a hell of a better job

Can’t say you didn’t try Lc

    Bol :woohoo:

I know of a shop that has some pretty good online specials on boots at the moment
    http://www.suttosmc.com.au
(Still have to update abit of stock on there)

Sorry to hear about the lack of customer service, Really shouldn’t be like that.

Well just recently i was in the market for a set of Oil and Dust seal’s for my KLX (best dirt bike ever STM) Forks.

So i went to my new Kwaka store in coffs harbour which will remain nameless as they also sell Blue bikes to.

They had Oil seals but no dust seals so they said we will order them in be here in 2 or 3 days this was a monday so i said great need before weekend. i rang on the wednesday and they said they were not there but 100% assured me they would be here the next morning and i said perfect i will pick them up on friday all good.

So i showed up where the wanna be young dick head told me they were not here yet but should be as we ordered 10 days ago when i asked them to  i ordered 5 days ago mate. so i caned my plans for doing forks that weekend and made plans for the next weekend to be done as the owner then told me monday or tuesday for sure.

Tuesday came day before public holiday and still nothing so i had friendly words with the owner and rang CROSSROADS in grafton as i was heading that way and what you know they had every thing i needed along with all the advice and recommendations i could have needed and i think for any thing Kwaka i now need they will be my “local” store.

llllllooooooooonnnnnnngggggggggg story short i will be in no rush to step back into that dealer in coffs.

BIG THUMBS UP to suttos for my cheap tyre and UHD tube last week to ;) B)

I went through the exact same shit in Wollongong last year, wanted a pair of tech 8’s or sidi crossfires but no service/assistance or interest.

Bought a pair of tech 8’s from the USA for $328.00

Very pissed off as I always spend my coin locally.

LC, ive got a pair of Sidi Crossfire boots, and they are brilliant and also very comfortable from the start, they have crept up in price over the years though.

I think i bought them from MCA approx 6 years ago, about $499 back then.

If i was shopping again,i would definetly go to Suttos,as everything else i buy is from there and they are all switched on with all stock that they sell. This gives me confidence that if there is a problem with anything, im sure it would be sorted pretty quick.

    Good luck mate.

    Cheers Marty

Sidi, Tech 8 and Gaerne SG 10 were my first choice, but I got on to some UFO Heros, very similar to SG 10s but only about $300, look the goods and fit well. Bday ride will probably be the first big outing, product review to follow.
