January 10, 2015 at 6:53 am #260837Awesome isn’t it. Those CRF450 Rallies are horn. I stain my pants a little each time I see one. Fingers crossed he holds it together and pulls off a great result.
January 11, 2015 at 9:53 pm #260842I’m recording and watching the highlights every day. It’s good stuff.
January 12, 2015 at 10:13 am #260848I’ve been keeping a close eye on the race. Have always watched the race for as long as i can remember. The old boy used to get super excited this time of year.
Seen a video today of Price hitting a creek crossing, far out if that were me id be a goner!! talk about getting crossed up. But he saves it and keeps it flat ! Thats awesome
Joan Barrenda really left me blowen away but, stage 7 snapped his handlebar on the left side 120km’s from the end of the stage and only lost 6 minutes to Coma. I cant even imagine how he done it but geez he done well
Shall be a good one to watch right to the finish !
January 13, 2015 at 7:20 pm #260856Wondering what happened to Toby after WP6 today all his times are blank from there on?
January 13, 2015 at 10:03 pm #260859I see that Toby has no time listed on WP7-11, but still has a finish time. Missed WP? sensor not picked up???
He is still listed as 8th overall with 0 penalty beside his name so things should be ok. He was doing well until the middle of the stage or there abouts maybe navigation dramas?
Should get him on some RideADV nav rides this year as practice for next years Dakar :laugh:TB

Toby Price lost more than 23-minutes to the stage winner through a navigational error. As a result Price saw his margin to race leader Coma, who was third on stage, extend from 16-minutes yesterday to 32-minutes today. Thanks to Quintanilla also having an off day Price remains less than five-minutes from the third placed rider, and lost only a few seconds to fifth outright Stefan Svitko. Thus the Australian still has a very good chance of securing an outright podium.
Toby Price, 8th on stage – “This morning was going well and we were making up ground. I made a small navigational error in the sand but I got on top of it. We were about one minute off the lead at the first CP but then we went into the fesh-fesh area and it was really tough. Then at about the 360 km mark there was a waypoint and we all got lost and the other guys made up ground. It was frustrating to lose time there but I am happy we’re here. As long as we can get to the finish line, that’s the main goal. But if we can stay in the top five that’s even better.”
