Just did first oil change on new bike wr 07.Drained about 2 liters out.Ithought they hold 1 liter.Read the manual and I was write. Now I can only wonder what kind of usless f##k thay employ as a Bike Mechanic.

Bike must be warm (run for three nimuts same as 04 model)to get a true reading on dip stick.

    Just needed to vent anger.

Tip. Read your manual and do your own service

I am hearing you WR, although when I went to do the service on the KTM530 the owners manual actually overstates the amount of oil required and the engine overflows.

I thought putting that much oil in would cause some damage. Probably lucky it didn’t What a F’wit whoever did that. Was the bike brand new?

    Chris.

Learnt this lessen the hard way when I had a stator replaced on my old DR250S and the mechanic told me when I picked it up it sounded like the vavles needed adjusting. After I rode it home I thought it sounded noisey. Checked oil to find dumb f**ks had not put oil back in motor.

What made it worse they had charged me for 2 litres of oil.

Ah O.K it was a demo model, I was trying to work out what the title of the post meant, hopefully wasn’t the one they train the apprentices on.

It’s bad if a bike shop can’t get it right :(

We don’t need a name and shame forum, we can put a thread up though if you’ve experienced exceptionally bad service in order to warn others.

I’ll start by shaming the Firestation bakery in Newcastle. Get this, I went in this morning for some breakfast and they didn’t have any sausage rolls, I had to have a curry pie. Disgusting behaviour.

    Did you write a letter??? That’s… that’s…

    Pitiful!

I’ll start the letter for you:

    Dear Whores,

You are a bunch of whores…

It was this morning, how quickly do you want me to write the letter. I like your style though ;)

Well, I was assuming that, being a super-efficient engineer and all, you’d have whipped out the laptop right there and then, connected to the officeworks wireless network, written your letter and printed it out while eating the curry pie that is supposed to be a substitute for a sausage roll, then walked straight back in with the letter and “had words” with the manager!

    No?
