detour

Need the lowdown on detour coffs, has anyone done a tour with them, what was it like any info appreciated

I have heard good things about the Coffs Detour in particular the Coffs to Brooms head ride. I think Boris covers some of the trails we did on the Coffs ride in November.

Thanks Nick, are there any others up that way, we were looking at coffscoast tours but he has pulled the pin, we were planning on going in may, so we are sort of left in the lurch a bit

Happy to try different places, we have been to bulladelah for the last 4 years, so thought about a change, cost- well normal tour costs are what we do – it’s a five day trip with 2 days ride and something else or 3 days ride. We had planned 2days ride and 1 days fishing with coffs coast tours, but thats not gunna happen now.

I only know of Detour Hatto, they do have a good name too!!

Theirs always STM’s megatour , he’s not a bad bloke just keep him off the moonshine!!!

Gday Hatto,Boris has an axcellent rep around coffs.Ive never been but I only hear good things he knows the coffs coast better than anyone,he picks the course for the 4 day.Some of the other companies have left ribbons all over the place to find their way,Boris doesnt need ribbons and i hear he is an absolute gun .

Shame Coffs coast isn’t going to happen.

We do our annual (invite only) Coffs to Stuarts Point ride with one of the original partners in Coffs Coast.

We used their maps, Didn’t see a ribbon anywhere he got us down to the Pub With No Beer @ Taylors Arm, then I took over for the run to Stuarts Point. But then WTF would I know?

That ride as a return ride would be heaps total of 260k for us one way or 200k to the Pub, then back it up & ride it return next day would be huge

Detour is a top shelf operation by all accounts. The Dorrigo Express is their must do tour and hooking up a day fishing in Coffs is easy as.

I will be in a hospital ward watching a baby fall out of my wife around the time you plan so you can count me out.

I have had the pleasure of Boris’ hospitality at his place as well as being on a two day tour with him. Do it!!

He was my first introduction to proper trailriding when I first got my XR630 I had a while back. I had the best time and if you use your search button on this site, you may still be able to find a ride report I did about the great weekend we had.
