Heading down to Batemans Bay for a 2 and a half day Detour ride with House and Bundyroy this week end.Should be a hoot.Down on my knees praying for protection as i have been informed by TB about a certain hill called “Pork Chop Hill”.Road trip should be interesting as we are travelling about the length of England to get there

Question,”Do Dirtbike riders have a patron Saint to pray to before a ride”?…i need a direct line :P

The fun starts with around 3:40 in with Bathy making it top to bottom on his 650. There’s a view from the top too ;)

Nice Tony, always good to see a big heavy 650 go over the top but was surprised by the lack of light weight torquey two strokes not one  :P

I reckon you’d need all that weight over the front to keep the bloody thing from loopin!

Bathy is a Kiwi Freak tho’ AB, Him and I lit out from a pack of fast lads one day chasing down the leader, in a dinnerplate sized rock-strewn downhill I was in 4th going as fast as i dared, bouncing from rock to rock and just maintaining control, he comes past me rock solid and stable riding bank to bank like i was sitting still, felt like an F1-11 sonic boom.

Plus I know and occassionally ride with the other three Qlders that made it up that day, and none of them are exactly short on bike-skills.

It’s a horror, saw it from a 4wd Workcar once working out of Batemans, it’s far nastier than it looks.

Yeah Hoobz(cameraman) looks like he knows his stuff too. He may as well leave his front wheel at home I reckon!

Getting keener for the ride by the minute. Not making any promises about the hill though. I suppose if Boll has a crack then I will have to. Unless he makes it that is. The big rocks are scaring me a bit. It is a long way to drive (730km each way) to wreck my bike unless it is on day 3. Can’t wait to see the hill though as I’ve heard many a story about the legend.
