If you are gunna take a GPS on a Detour ride, you best not let on that you have it. They take a dim view to people plotting their routes.

I have been on a detour ride and they asked did anyone have a gps, all friendly like,in the hope that anyone who had one, would be fooled into thinking they were gunna give them co ordinates.. No one did, butit became quite obvious, if they had of said yes, they would have told them to jam it in their bum.

it’s fair enough too. They go to all the trouble to organise it then some little turd starts his own little trail ride for profit using their valuable information.

Shame on you Boony for having such evil thoughts.

You will be flogged publically tommorrow at 12 noon in the town square by 6 fat biker dykes :woohoo:

Jeez Bol they might do that to you even if you don’t have a GPS :P

The last Yamaha Detour ride that me and Kylie went on was pretty good.

I reckon TB should go into business doing tours with all the places he knows and the rides that I have been on that he has lead have been better than the paid ones. No wait a minute that would mean that we would then have to pay to ride with him. Scrub that one.

I have been on 2 Detour rides and they were both girl’s rides. They were done by John Liddell and his partner Annette (she’s really nice and is a great rider). They were good but you know I actually prefer an old bulls ride. On the Detour rides there was not a lot of help I thought and at one stage of the ride where this was a downhill that was a bit tricky, instead of letting you take a look at it and then having a go, they just grabbed your bike and rode it down for you. It all happened that quick that you didn’t really have a chance to say no. I don’t like that. I like to have a go, fall off, then have someone give me some hints about how to approach it and then if needs be just crash my way down  .

But this was only my experience and I did have a heap of fun on the rides and it was great to ride with other girls.

Hope you have a lot of fun!
