since Bob has problems with his bike that couldnt be fixed before the weekend me and Green450 had a last minute change of plan, Batemans Bay it was, Nelligen caravan park anyway.
we got blind on friday night at the Steampacket hotel, (dont ask about the name even the dopey locals dont know what its all about) it was pretty hot saturday, we had a bit of a swim-splash arond at Shallow Crossing then rode back to camp, with bad hangovers we gave up after a few hours and went and had lunch at the RSL with air con.
sunday was perfect weather with no hangovers, we found a few new loops that we had heard about and had a good ride.
monday was an early for a couple of hours then pack up camp and drive home.
Batemans Bay is a dirt bike Mecca.

Ya didn`t happen to see the amazing V-Man & his sidekick the SuperUnit down there did ya ???They rave about down there & their trips with CJ Goldman

Come to think of it, they have been awful quiet of late haven`t they,,,,,,
November 30, 2009 at 6:52 am #163204Hey Bob.
I seen some of those trucks coming back along the Bell Line yesterday and they look fooly sic. They must put some money into them. Would be good to watch.
Sorry LC, good to see you and Green had a great ride.

AnonymousLC shall we pick a date and plan a ride down that way? I’m keen to come down that way and have a ride
December 1, 2009 at 6:07 am #163306we already thought about organising a ride down there, maybe after we do another trip or 2 and know more of the trails, unless you are keen to just wing it like we do. there are single trails everywhere so it generally isnt a drama anyway

AnonymousYeah, when did you have in mind?
December 1, 2009 at 6:21 am #163185Its a long drive there Moto, so you would have to go the day before or get up at 3am
as if thats gonna happen :laugh:Nah, its a great part of the coast, I have been down there a few times & reckon a ride would be the do for sure.
Lets make it a weekend sometime in 2010, preferably not summer as it gets damn hot there too :blink:Have a blast if you guys do it earlier though, you could map out some nice trails and get it all prepped for the OBT run

AnonymousI thought it was 6 hours or so down? Where abouts do you ride, actually from Batemans? There are trails near Sussex Inlet as well aren’t there?
I have to do 5 hours to Coffs in April as well as 4 hours to Portland.
I’ve driven to Melbourne and to Noosa a few times now in a single trip. Seems that once again I’ve been underestimated!
December 1, 2009 at 8:59 am #163362Hatto has got a route planned out down south. I think it will start from Nowra. He has been working on it for a while just fine tuning it so it flows well and he is happy with the mix of terrain.
