Don’t worry we’ll cop it mid jan to late feb, my theory is that summer has been coming later and later each year.
Chris.

AnonymousYeah, well the same happened in the UK. It always used to be June and July, but seems to get the better weather in August now. Bring it on

Now I risk being termed a know it all…But…does anyone else get the Idea It’s all coming around at different times because the calander isnt exact? as in ,we have set our dates and time into place, the earth however isnt may NOT be in time with it. I really dont know how to phrase it right?? We use the gregorian calander system, its not necessarily corwect is it..because we have to make a day every four years. so it may just be that the weather isnt out of whack, its our dateing system??
January 13, 2009 at 1:37 am #118059Good point. I’ve also seen a doco saying we are overdue for a change in poles – as in north and south poles swapping. This causes global warming and cooling, erratic weather etc etc… recognise those symptoms??
Actually I think the calendar being wrong is the most likely option!

AnonymousYou could well be right Husky. I don’t know enough about the dating systme to even try and work it out either. You would think that the all the scientists blaming it on global warming would have realised it’s the dating system by now though wouldn’t you if that was the case? That said, they are a bunch of moley, moles and are probably making it all up to keep themselves in their high paid jobs and leave the rest of us to suffer!
I reckon it’s a conspiracy!!

AnonymousDISLIKE – Having to back into hospital again to have another operation to remove the wire from my thumb
They have basically left it in there too long and now I have to go under the knife again to get the thing out. It’s still only day surgery but it’s the whole general anasthetic/operating theatre jobby again
January 13, 2009 at 6:41 am #118088
Anonymousyou want them to remove the wire without a general.
spose it would be ok
i have a pin come out of my hand while riding and float around. at first i thought it was a rock in my glove.January 13, 2009 at 10:07 pm #118142
AnonymousYeah, there aren’t any nerves inside my bone so the only place I’d feel it is at the end of my thumb. I should have been a doctor, I know better than them
January 15, 2009 at 5:21 am #116183I used to dislike KTM’s but now I fucking hate the things, over priced bikes that require to much up keep that are shitboxes!
Sorry I am not happy this arvo, its hot and the little Kato has shat itself big time and I am far from happy we normally have maintenance free bikes here that perform for years. Now I have a money robbing little buzz box that requires its gearbox oil changed every 5 litres of fuel and now a rebuild that if you refer to this thread http://www.obtrailriders.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=56&func=view&catid=22&id=13492
is going to cost me a 2nd mortgage on my house!Whats a pity is that its such a great bike when its going!

AnonymousTB calm down. Everybody does things that they later regret. Go out to the shed or where ever that bastard thing is, pick it up and put it in the bin. Have a beer and be thankful that you are able to cut your loses now. Theres no point worrying about something that will suck the life out of you and suck all the cash out of your wallet.
You have learnt your lesson. Now go and buy some jap quality. My dislike this arvo is the fuckin heat. I hate summer. Does nothing but kill the grass and make going for a ride something thats not that appealing.

DanD let me tell you how you cope with the summer heat, out there at 4.30am, dressed and riding away at 5.15am back at the cars and leaving by 10.am with 130 kms done in the sweetest part of the summer day, no overheating at all, done it for years and its the only way to go.
