MY trusty XR backfired and stopped on me today! I was riding around the neighbourhood on reserve fueltap position and not thinking clearly apparently motorbikes run on petrol. It was a complete shock to have my bike stop :silly: Lucky there was enough left on the otherside of the tank  I laid the bike on its side to get the last cupfull into the carby and I managed to get home I don’t reccomend riding around on reserve how could I have been so stupid :S

Ha ha yeh I did a similar thing at my Olds one weekend. Told the old man I was only going for a short ride to check out some tracks as I only had a half tank of fuel. The tracks got more and more interesting and I found myself on reserve at the furthest point from home.Soon found out that reserve on the Gasgas is only good for about 5 kays  I had to hide the bike in the bush and hitch Hike 15 kays up Cresent head rd to the olds place. The ol man was peaking out and I got an absolute earful when we drove back to pick the bike up.
