    What a great weekend!!!
It started with the Boonster arriving about 3.45 sat arvo and I had the gate open, fridge in the shed on, a beer in hand and some parking spots sorted next to the OBT Super Commuter,,,,;)

It wasn`t long before the bark of the Scorpio in full noise mode came hooking around the back fence & into the yard, TB & DanD both had smiles from ear to ear & KylieD was perched up on Chop`s DRZ like a spoilt kid in a lollie shop
There was soon a Black can in TB`s hand & a Vitamin B in the hands of his biartch Dan,,, Kylie passed on the offer & settled for a cold water(she was high on the adrenalin from the trip over on the 400 & the laughing she did watching the antics of the other two ratbags
Some funny stories were told in the next hour before they had to depart for the reverse run back to the D`s,,,

Not long after things settled down (and a few cold brews) Chris arrived with the night`s project, checking the trailers bearings!!! Any Pit Crew would have been proud to sit back & watch how the Pro`s do it

A BBQ tea was soon on the menu, marinated steaks, sausages, Pasta Bake, a few salads and some more brews had the hungry dudes satisfied.
As usual, the fire was going in the brazier next to the shed , but we took the chance to get our riding gear sorted for the early ride over to the start point,,, We also watched some bike porn on Chris` laptop to wind down the evening (a dvd of a two day Detour trip up north & Chad Reed & co ripping up the Washougal track in the latest rounds of the AMA):woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Boony really wanted to see a full day`s ride without blurry eyes & a headache, so we retired rather early:dry: and this is when the snoring starter

5.30 on ride day saw me up prepping the hot water in the urn for coffees & warming the Bbq for Bacon & Egg Rolls (Ash also got up early to have a roll with us & took it back to bed with her):P not silly that little girl
Then it was a painful next hour as Boony was like a greyhound in the box watching the furry rabbit take off ahead !!! β€œCan we go yet???,,, Now, can we go now ???,,, Is it time now ???”

Eventually we set off for the casual run over and met the biggest crew I have seen assembled for a ride!!!

That`s it for the Eagles pre ride events;)

    More to come

    Part two,,,

On arrival at the D`s, it was awesome to see so many like minded dudes with bikes lined up ready to go. Was also great to catch up with Old Bulls that I have previously ridden with ( we have a top group from all over the place, and quite a few are linked to others that we know through work or other ride groups etc) Small world we live in hey ??? But a good one too!!!;) ;)

It was also tops to put some faces to names of more recent members as well as greet the rest of the Tamworth connection that we had ridden with a month ago at Nundle ( awesome effort from those boys, to actually come down & back in the one day, crazy stuff) Did I mention that BOLLOCKS wasn`t with them :P sorry mate, couldn`t resist!!!

The actual ride was one that seemed to have a bit of everything you would expect from a trip like that.

I reckon the rest of the ride has been described pretty well spot on & the pics will continue to flow in (Chris will have a stack to load up after he sorts them out)
So I will not blab on about the other stuff that has already been mentioned (can`t have this report hitting 20 pages like we tried with the Nundle report)    πŸ˜†

Once again, Massive thanx to TB, DanD, Boulder & Princess for the planning, pre riding etc
Also thanx to Champo & BigT for the sweep duties (I think they had a relatively smooth run, as the group pedalled pretty well all day!!!!)
The rest of the ride group can also give themselves a pat on the back for turning up, riding well & adding to the atmosphere of the day, GREAT GROUP as usual for an OLD BULLS RIDE:woohoo:

    Cheers All

    No Drams Bob & Tracey;)
Thats why we ride with such a great group, and how lucky we are to have the group I reckonB)
Good to hear there are no bad injuries!!!

What`s with the “old blokes” bit, we aren`t that bad,,, are we ???

Good on Tracey too, for getting back up, shaking herself off & making it the rest of the way;) Big Effort there.

    Hey Eagle BITE ME :P

Another person who put in a massive effort yesterday was Irish – this was only his second dirt ride after a long break from dirt (we won’t count his other hobby of road and track riding as riding though)
So for someone that has not done a lot of real riding for a while he handled it like a seasoned dirt rider. Full marks to you Irish ;)
