Yeah easy done if you want everything including helmet and Kilm gear it will cost just under a grand less than the cost of a new Tenere
TB
And from what I hear from reliable sorces is it still will be faster than the Tenere
They are easy to out drag Ollie…i beat 2 of em in one hit..won’t mention any names
nice bike Kwack
Bol :woohoo:September 12, 2011 at 12:37 am #208620Ollie wrote:And from what I hear from reliable sorces is it still will be faster than the Tenere :laugh:Reliable  Faster only if he slip streamed me did he mention that the bastard  , yeah he got me
man that was fun. Nick watched the whole thing, Moose is fast and sneaky on the black winding roads
 :pinch: we gotto the pub and laughed like school kids it was great
Bollocks as for you and that oil spewing german shitbox, you and it combined couldn’t pass wind
that score will be settled when are all on the hard packed middle of the road and both Teneres aren’t in the drain on either side of the road waiting for old leaky to catch up

September 12, 2011 at 12:47 am #208621No he didnt mention the slip streaming  but he did say something about that little incident going to cost you some money getting the Tenere to go quicker
Not a bad effort from a bog stock DR

It’ll have more Bling than the Ten
Looking good
Mick
Well Mick the nameless one has his shock at Tekniks now because a spring only holds it up. See I think if my dentist doesn’t start fixing engines I won’t do my own teeth
This one is going full Tekniks why wouldn’t you at just over a grand, both ends revalved and sprung?
That’s coming later in the story Mick

My rear shock was always going to Teknik just a time thing!! As for the forks revalved and sprung and could’nt be happier with them. If my Dentist fixed engines I would’nt use him he’s too expensive!!

Against a stock Tenere, your point  We joked but mate I won’t be spending any money on making the Terene faster on the bitumen, I don’t need to go faster than 155 kph  (thats all we were doing as Moose snuck past :pinch: )
For your information we did throttle roll ons and drags etc on high country ride in April on the bitumen and learnt that the Tenere and the DR were evenly matched and infact I had the DR up to 100mph on a downhill into Omeo   and I outran Moose in the bendys on his bike passing someone around the outside
Back to this project bike I talked Deejay into the DR actually

Jason is proudly Australian and his pipes are all made on site. how good are his exhausts, well they are used by GHR, team KTM at Finke and the Safari to name but a few. Watch this space for a new OBT supporterHmmm…….. Maybe the Banana will get one…. Then you can stop telling me how horrible the Banana sounds…
It does sound horrible…
BTW – Looking good DJ Hardcore….. It will be nice to see in the flesh this weekend…….

StruckySeptember 12, 2011 at 10:34 pm #208625What about fitting a VSM case saver over the front sprocket. Might save the case in the unlikely event the chain breaks, easier to wash out when it gets really muddy and front sprocket wear can be seen at a glance.
