    Hi Nick
I have a DR650 that I bought off Team Moto. They have fitted heavy springs (9.6kg, rear shock) but I suspect that they have not revealed it as the bike is like a pogo-stick. The spring rate is well above recommendation for my weight but I want to stick with it because it is good for two up riding. I will revalve fork and shock obviously but am wondering what your recommendations are. I have spoken to Shock Treatment and they have a shaft assembly that can be fitted that then offers rebound adjustment, and that sounds very appealing to me. PS- no the shock has not blown out the bike only had 1000km on it when I got it and there are no signs of leakage.

The 9.6 is pretty firm for most people. Team Moto won’t have revalved it.
You could go with the rebound adjustment option. I used to have shaft assembly’s but I stopped importing them. Why?!
Pretty simple. The dampening specification of the shock is wrong for its intended use and the spring. By changing (revalving) the spec the shock works very well. If you had an adjuster and never moved it why do you need it?
If you bring me a shock $240 gets the job done.

Sounds good. I have used your services in a previous life when I used to manage Precision Honda in Darwin, so I know your work is quality. How much to get the forks done as well???

    Hey Fossil,
I just had the suspenders done at Teknik’s see thread http://www.obtrailriders.com/index.php/forum?view=topic&catid=20&id=131965 and rode it for the first time last weekend on the Wauchope to Nambucca Nav ride.

Very impressed with the suspension, it handles ALOT better than I thought it would coming off enduro bikes (KTM 350 exc).

I would thoroughly recommend them B)
