Drinks, Breakfast, Bikes and Bago.
Here’s your opportunity to contribute to the “Team Old Bull” Scrapheap Challenge fundraising, in support of Down Syndrome NSW.
TB and Mick are proposing a charity Breakfast at Breckenridge Farmstay in “Wonderful Wauchope” with a backdrop of the iconic Broken Bago State forest nearby.
At the moment it is only in the planning stage and is subject to how much interest they receive. The Date and time of the breakfast they are proposing is Saturday March 9 at about 8.00am.
So they are suggesting , that maybe you arrive at Breckenridge Farm on the Friday afternoon have a few drinks and dinner at the RSL with other like minded people and stay the night in the dorm at Breckenridge Farm, that is very reasonable priced at about $30.00 a night. Accommodation will be at your own expense. Here is a link to the accomodation. http://breckenridgefarm.com.au/
At this stage the breakfast will consist of Bacon and Egg Rolls and whatever else they can scrounge up from sponsors in Wauchope.
To register for the breakfast is simple, just go to this link
http://Scrapheap.gofundraise.com.au/page/TeamOldBulls
and donate $30.00 or more (tax deductible) to Team Oldbull’s fundraising efforts and your name will go on the list as a starter. A starter for the breakfast means you are a starter for the below, if you don’t donate for the breakfast you aren’t eligible for the below. You don’t have to stay at Breckenridge you can just come for the breakfast.
TB and Mick figure, after a gut full of protein at the breakfast, they might head out on a 100km or so ride on their dirt bikes afterwards and any one savvy enough to bring a REGISTERED dirt bike to the breakfast, would be most welcome to follow them, it’s not an organized ride, there is no map, Mick has ridden there for years and has the loop in his head. TB and Mick will have pre ridden the loop and it will be a ride for everybody from grade 2 to 5. There will be hard and easy options and we may even find a hill or two for the punters to play on while everyone else rests or watches.
Should you decide to follow along on the ride, like any ride there will be capable people doing the same loop and they will be able to help anyone with directions, flat tyres or any obstacles (if any) they may come across on the loop.
After TB and Mick get back from their ride, no doubt they will be thirsty and they will most likely have a few ales or rums back at the Farm, they might even have a few cool things to raffle off (all proceeds go to the Oldbull’s Scrapheap tally). So it is probably best that if you are attending the breakfast that you consider staying 2 nights at the Farmstay. (The use of the Farmstay as a base is subject to how many bookings they get). If there are not enough starters they may have to move the base elsewhere.
So here is your chance to eat breakfast, close to one of the top riding areas on the Mid North coast and if you are keen, the chance to follow a local for a look around the area on your bike.
(There will be no Friday or Sunday ride so don’t even ask)
