Should a bikes chain vibrate while under power up and down as it heads from the rear sprocket back to the front one. Does this occur if the rear wheel is out of alignment?? The wheel is aligned with the marks on the axle blocks. I have discussed here before how sometimes the blocks are not accurate to straighten the rear wheel. It is most noticeable when you are on the bitumen.

My mates KLX450 was really bad for this he tried but he found no solution to the problem , chain tension made no difference not sure if he tried re aligning the wheel but I know he played around heaps trying to solve it .

Yeah, Now that you mention it Nick I remember Ghostriders KLX being the same a few years back on the Caves to Caves ride
It was annoying following him actually, cause I thought my bike had a problem and pulled over to check

I`m unsure if its normal Aaron, but if it wasn`t doing it when you first got the CRF maybe there is a problem somewhere.
I presume you have checked the chain & sprocket already for unusual signs of wear ?????

    Good Luck

Did you check for a rag in your chain?

You are not going to believe it but you got it in one snow. must have fallen out of thhe air box. I will measure it all up today when I grease the suspension linkage

If you are using a joiner link Aaron check that it is running smoothly around the front sprocket. This can start a wave that runs through your chain every revolution and gets the bounced happening.

Check for a tight link in you chain Aaron, could have got a rock jammed in it and damaged it, I have seen it a few times will cause the chain to whip. The CRF runs a smaller chain size (narrower) it reduces the drag on the smaller engine.
