    Hi all. Looking for any gear which will convert my drz 400 to an adventure bike. Long range tank etc etc. Maybe someone has some gear they want to off load, pm if you can help.
    Am looking at a trip to Birdsville and back to Brisbane. What gearing set up is recommended.

    I think from memory I ran 15/42 gearing on mine for longer rides.

    I’m going to run 15/44. When you go up 1 tooth on the front sprocket do you need to modify anything to make it all work such as chain guide etc. or remove sprocket cover?

    I ran 15/42 on mine and just left the sprocket cover off

    I put on one of the alloy case savers instead and this worked fine. No other modes needed to run this gearing.
