He’d be the bloke to talk to.
December 31, 2010 at 8:15 pm #193694yep snow is putting one on his beast, I have installed a jump start system in case my battery dies on a ride, Ohh yeah and happy new year.

Fat lotta good if you are out riding with someone on a XR or the likes that doesn’t have a battery
December 31, 2010 at 8:31 pm #193693Was on a ride with a kwaka with no kickstart the other day and the bloke had a stack and destroyed the button switch. Luckily there was enough left to make it work. You can still roll start the drz if push comes to shove anyway can’t you or have they gone all flash with efi.
December 31, 2010 at 8:37 pm #193698I fitted a kick start to my DRZ and it was to bigger job for me, the kickstart lever wasn’t a problem but the decompression side of the kit was beyond me.
The kit was around $350 and install from my local bike shop was about $250.I have only needed it once but i was very grateful for it !

thats true,,but the NRMA should be able to help..My main concern is breaking the starter button
When I bought the Suzuki, I had no idea of the terrain i would be riding it in, Once i joined Old Bulls the dirt bike oyster just opened up. I have on several times considered changing bikes to a more single purpose,,but bugger me dead if the Narny just keeps on impressing me with its ability to carry a very inexperienced rider out of the scrub, ride after ride, so I might as well just keep her and throw the blingy bits at her. maybe not to krusty1s extent but just things like a kick start, brakes and softer suspension, (i felt a bump last ride) :woohoo:Boony

I’m with you boony , I’ve looked at different bikes too but with things like the kickstart and a suspension makeover the DRZ is hard to beat. The day I ride it and feel it’s got nothing left to give I might change… But what does everything the DRZ can with that reliability, and good looks

we have hijacked your thread Bigger Al, but you`ll get over it.
Wont be long and we can have a DRZ only ride :woohoo: I can see all the others painting their bikes yellow just so they can ride with the cool people.
