The rear brake fluid reservoir on the DRZ’s tend to go out of shape and then leak or let crap and water into the system.
For anyone who has a DRZ400 its worth checking.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Is there a replacement alloy reservoir or some other fix that anyone is aware of.

Gotowo, Have you got the alloy protector plate fitted? Not an issue I had with my DRZ and I have a 12 year old RMX which use the exactly the same reservoir and all seems good.

Yes its all original and 4 yrs old. only done 2000klm.
Ive noticed on Thumpertalk that a few DRZ’s also have this problem with the plastic reservoir bulging. The plastic bulges out about 1mm along each of the long sides, enough for it to leak or catch water. I only noticed it when I changed the brake fluid for the 1st time.
I didnt want to replace it with an original part in case it happens again. Some guys have replaced it with a CRF450 reservoir and master cylinder….but this seems overkill.
I guess I’ll order a new plastic one and see how it goes.
