Mate, I had Jay do the suspension on my DRZ and it changed the bike completely. I have still not ridden a bike that was so well set up, as in able to take the big hits without bottoming but still plush and DRZ-line in the initial stroke! It cost me $650 including postage which is cheap as chips. That got me new springs front and rear with revalving. I just told him what I weigh, how I ride and what I wanted out of it.

Cannot say enough good things about his work, give him a call for sure!

That is really good value for both ends!

How easy is that, he’s only about 3K’s from my place in the next suburb over. :cheer: Thanks ECKS-man.

I have played around with the settings on mine but with me weighing in at around 120+ Kg kitted out I need more than just some minor adjustments. The thing goes pretty good compared to how it was when I got it but I still have to be careful about bottoming out on bigger obstacles and drops.

Let me know how you go mate, want to give mine a suspension tune up too!!

No worries Boulder, it won’t be for a little while yet though, probably another month or so. I have car rego, insurance and a few other bills all coming in together draining the funds, not to mention a couple of teenagers that always seem to have there hand out for something. 😆

    G’day Smurph,
You could try these mate, I don’t know anything about them, just googled motorbike suspension and found the sites.
    Good luck with it anyway.

    Hey Smurf

    Try “Chads Offroad setups”.

I have a mate in Mexico who used him and was stoked.

Suspension for sure. Changes the bike dramatically as you will find they are a taildragger.

I also dropped the front shocks ten mill in the triple tree to make it turn quicker in single track.

DRZ’s are great, the useable torque is just fantastic…

thanks guys will give these names a try and see how much of my hard earned missus (financial advisor) will let me have. I’m sure if i tell her double what the cost is I’ll get close to the mark.

Chads done my DRZ a couple of weeks ago. Told him my kitted up weight (well over the hundred mark) and and riding style. Also have a long range tank fitted. Droped the bike off and he done the rest. $600 all up. Now i dont get the feeling i r*#ting a large girl on a waterbed. He is in Lara just out of Geelong.

    Cheers.

address and phone No would be great as Lara is only about 20 minutes from me. I’ll give him a call and see what the cost is with me doin’ the work. Seems like there’s a fair bit of sag on these with us larger riders.
