Well I have had enough of being off the bike the past month with all the goings on at home of late,,, so decided to get out for an arvo run on Monday ato check out some trails in the winter sun.
Headed off after 12 and up to Cessnock the back way and wound my way up the Pokolbin Mountains road to the communications tower on Brokenback Range

Great weather and a views for miles

Then decided to run across the top of the ridges and look for Yellow Rock if time permits. Yellow Rock is an aboriginal carving site on a huge rock platform looking Northwest out over the back of the small town of Broke.
Found what I thought was the way, as it isn`t signposted, and rode out for quite a way before deciding time was going to get short , and there are a few different trails that could all be the right one, so I abandoned the search to run around to Sawpit Rd and out at Cedar Creek.
If anyone can give me a tip on which trail to take or GPS cords for the rock I would be thankful

Then ran over through Millfield, Ellalong and back up into the Watagans Range from the back way to check the lookouts as the weather was so good.

Had to get a selfie with the timer on the Nikon 😆

The roos & wallabies were starting to get a tad too lively as the sun was dropping low on the other side of the mountains and the light fading fast, so I made a dash for Mt Falk and home before dark.
Have to go back to continue the search for Yellow Rock, but that will have to be with a longer timeslot.
Just under 200k and home for a late lunch.

Yellow Rock, I will find you soon

Good RR Eags! Nothing like a ride to clear the head and make you forget about anything else for a while! Man you look professional in your fancy ride gear!

    Cheers

It was all about keeping warm for the arvo mate. It was cool up in the hills, Some of Brokenback is up a round 1400m
