    Just got some EBC brake pads for my 2010 Berg, the packet for the rear pads says don’t use original backing plate and insulation.

    I assume this is because the pads are thicker than standard, the last set I put in were EBC and this warning wasn’t on the pack.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    LC,

    Will the plate and insulator fit in with the wider pads?

    And do you use your rear brakes alot and overheat them?

    The answer to these may answer your questions :P

    I removed them when I fitted mine as it says and suffered brake fade on the next ride as Crash will tell you as I whinged to him on the blue tooth :laugh: . Fit them if you can LC
