Just looking around at brake pads and found some EBC branded pads.

i know EBC are a biggish brand in car clutches and brake stuff.

anyone had any experience with EBC or sintered pads?

or do i just stick with KTM/ factory ones?

all i know is that i been told sintered ones will last longer than STD./ normal pads.

and that there can be a trade off between braking capacity/ effectiveness and longevity.

    Hello xy-transit,
I recently replaced rear pads in the KTM with sintered ones (can’t remember what brand)
I have been told they last longer than standard.
I don’t know yet but the pads i replaced were sintered (bought the bike second hand).
Don’t know how long they were in for but they still had a bit of wear left in them.
I can’t say that i notice any difference in stopping power between the sintered and bikes i have ridden with standard pads.
I have ridden in water and mud and they work fine :)

There are many different grades, compounds and brands XY. In my opinion sintered is the go like Rocket said. I just purchased some from Sutto’s and they were cheaper then the last set I bought actually.

    Good info here.

I run Goodridge pads which are relabelled EBC

They work a little better when hot, last forever in mud although they might chew the disc a little more than others
