http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/zero-x.php anyone hear much about these units here? They seem to be getting pretty wicked in the developement..may notbe long and the conversation after a days ride could be about “Hot Changes”….Have seen a clip of them get the pop over a wr/yz 250 and recently a Mustang on vid too….

anyway you gotta take a generator out into the bush when you go riding to charge the thing, and what does the geny run on, air?

you could hook up a dynamo to some peddles, then you would not need a fire to keep warm!

and it would all run on the smell of a few backed beans:laugh:

but if you got to that extent you may as well take a push bike to start with:blink:

I dunno, its just a different bike. I reckon they will get it sorted out so that we get better performance from the leccy bikes, and battery technology is coming along nicely. Give it time, at the moment it is not practical but eventually we will be riding silent dirty’s. Probably a good thing when you hear the exhausts of some clowns out there…

especially with the Baked (or maybe backed out beans even) beans comment from XY.

Some clowns should keep their exhaust noise emissions down.
That goes for both them and the bike

cant see a problem with a enviromentally friendly bike, zero emmissions, nothing but the noise of the tyres on the dirt.Zero starting issues, fuel effiecincy,

Oh look theres a tree that looks like it needs a hug??

Bring on the loudest, smokyest and most fuel guzzling beast there is ( menaces 300) and leave the wonder bikes for someone else.

You’ll eat those words mate!! The future is coming, like it or not! Just give it time!

Mind you, the petrol bikes will be around a LOOOOONG time yet, so maybe you have a point! Just ease off on the noise, for all our sakes!

I reckon they have the potential to be great fun. I too am like most here and enjoy ther noise and smell and petrol engine brings. However, if they get to a level where I can do a couple of hundred K’s of hard riding then I’d be interested. Especially since the acceleration could be mind blowing and with the flatest torqu curve you’ll ever see!
