your pretty luck it didnt burn to the ground Al….and take your house with it :(

You don’t know how lucky Menace. Came back from the ride, turned the bike off (was still running ok) and parked it in a garage behind the Stroud pub with 4 other bikes and two very expensive 4WD. Next morning the bike was dead. Everything happened in that garage overnight.

it might have been a hungry bunyip that chewed on your wiring mate, so he could toast his marshmallows with your red hot loom:laugh:

hope there were no ktms in the shed, that would have been a tragic loss if theyd burned:P :P

Finally got it sorted. As you know TB graciously offered to rewire my harness.

When I got it back and put it back on the bike still a problem. No spark and no blinkers.

So took it off again and stripped it back. Greg had missed one wire and had routed the power wire to the CDI box to the flasher unit. So replaced the missed wire and rewired the CDI connection. Bike fired up no problem and all works except the neutral light.

Considering the burnt up mess of spagetti I sent Greg he did a good job on the harness. The above two problems would have been very easy to miss with no bike to test it on.

Thanks TB. Now got to get that Sugarloaf to Kitchener ride up and running.

No worries TB. Rode it around the block today and ran sweet as a nut. Everything works even the low beam which wasn’t working before the burn out!

Will give it a pounding on the dirt sometime this week and if all ok will look at a date for the Sugarloaf/Kitchener ride.
