EOI Vic. strathbogies April 18-21 long weekend

Been wanting to do a ride there, was planning it for my good riddance ;-p ride.

I’m planning on arriving Thursday night.

Sighting ride Friday. Explore Saturday. Repete the best Sunday?

I’ll be camping, there is a proper dunny and fire places. But no showers, I’ll br rigging up a shower with hot water.

I have little to no knowledge of the area, accompanied someone once but that’s it.

There is a lookout at one of the summits, I’ve not been able to find on any maps online showing it.

I’ll br seeing the forestry tomorrow to get a map and any dos and donts if any.

Guessing 25th Anzac day would be too close to weekend before for everyone that’s already booked up for Easter.

I know it’s short notice so if it’s not suited I’ll still go with the gps, map and see what I can find for future rides.

Forgot to mention it will be a very cruisy ride as its in an unfamiliar area.

There is an air plane crash site memorial on the DSE? Website map, would be something of interest to see….?

From memory benalla is about 1/2 hour 45 min from the camp site. Mansfield is about the same.
