i bought a pair of EVS knee braces 8 months ago they were the next cheapest after asterix
i would recomend anyone to use decent kneebraces as ligaments are expensive they have saved my knees from serious
injury 3 times HOWEVER these braces have been falling apart since the day i got them i would suggest to anyone
to get asterix even though they are $300 dearer

Thats the sought of product review we want, keeps us blokes in the loop as to what is really worth having …..or Not!

cheers mate I was tossing up between those two as well you have just confirmed it for me B) Astericks it is ;)

BTW I have MSR’s http://www.bikegearwarehouse.com.au/mx-gear/Motorcross_Accessories/motorcross-msr-reflex-kneeshin-guards at the moment, really good knee gaurd for the outlay of about $70 from BGW but the alloy Hinge pins keep throwing the circlip and I have now lost a couple. If you put a dab of Silcone on them that would solve that problem. Not in the same league as the Astericks tho.

My Asterisk knee braces are now 3 years old and have never given me a problem. They are comfortable to wear and offer incredible protection. Earlier this year I had a fall which end with the Tenere’s main frame tube laying across my leg. After the accident I wrote the below

First the brace is fine undamaged. The ambulance officers insisted I take the brace for the doctors look at for the diagnosis. I wouldn’t be sitting here at home now if I wasn’t wearing my Astisk brace I am convinced beyond doubt. Not only did the fully loaded bike, with soft panniers fully loaded land hard on my knee (which would weigh 210 kilos +) and remain trapped under the bike (thanks Lotsa ;) ) But I was twisted around.

I reckon I ride as much as anyone here if not more and I wear them every time I ride without fail now. Nothing has worn or failed even after the accident. Look around as they are price well in Australia now and you need to buy local for warranty
