EVS Neck Brace

Hi Guys,

Trailboss has one coming soon anyone know anything much about them, can’t wait to review it, I don’t want to be the tester.. A lot cheaper than the Leatt but does it offer the same protection.

Hey TB is it one you pre ordered on TT? What did it eventually cost you?

No Mick I purchased it from Giant Motorcross as a pre order in April. The first dispatch date was to be the mid may, then 15th of june now I am told early july. They tell me there has been hold ups from EVS so I am waiting. My thoughts to buying it was that I thought the Leatt-Brace australian distributor had no competition and the brace was priced as such. When you looked at how strong the Australian dollar was, why is the Leatt-Brace almost half price in USA? In no way did I have a problem with the Leatt-Brace and thought the whole brace idea is a must have.
So someone had to try one. Cost me $170.00 freight will now be free they have told me so I will see.

Well after another stall as far as the delivery date for the EVS neck brace goes I spat it! I e mailed gaint motorcross and expressed my anger not so much at them because they dont have them yet and are waiting but the fact that I paid for it in April after being told it would be delivered in May. I asked about a Leatt to take its place and they made an offer I couldnt say no to (it was very cheap! :woohoo: ) so I have a Leatt coming and will do a story on that.

Mate I have a Leatt on both my boys and My Mum bought one for me saying “You did it for your boys, so I did it for mine”, and let me tell you do not plan a big ride first up as the adjustment of the rear part that the helmet hits is a real bummer if not adjusted properly, and one other thing I found is it forces you to adopt the correct posture when riding, it all good after about 2 or 3 adjusting sessions and now I dont even know its there, both my boys have had big spills with them on at the races and all is good, my older boy said that he could not ride with the thing and I said that a shame son , but I suppose all your bike gear will sell easy as a whole package deal because no helmet no ride rule applies and the Leatt is the helmet for the neck,and son you wont ride if you dont wear this, needless to say he got used to it 15 mins latter. I think all riders should have one of these braces and I have a retailer in Hawaii that will happily sell to Australia heaps cheaper than the Australian thieves, I mean distributor, I have arranged for several to be got for students at my MX schools and all is good, Dont put a price on your neck it is not easily replaced

Nice and I agree 100%, crash, chicken and chris maybe interested in the braces from your contact. You sound like a smart man if only you rode a Honda!

Yes Guys I can get the braces no worries, but they are only in the KTM ORANGE, I will contact my man and see what he wants to do. The only thing we need to do is discuss the Honda Owners Sledging Tax, I will come back to you

KTM orange you say? That’s ok I can paint it some other colour. Trouble is I will have to use Heat proof paint as I am such a hot rider and it only comes in black doesn’t it?

Hey Mick, You’ll be right they make heatproof pink paint for softies, I know I’ve used it.
